The 4-Channel SM Pro Audio Q-AMP Enhanced Headphone Amp delivers high-quality audio in a stylish, small-footprint unit. Upgraded to include SM Pro Audio's E-Series circuit design improvements, the Q-AMP demonstrates how SM Pro Audio's compact Value series of audio products has received a major revision in terms of appearance and performance.
E-Series circuit design, component selection, and manufacturing offer an additional level of quality to the already successful HP4V.
The headphone amp is housed in a stylish extruded aluminum external chassis that can be rackmounted using SM Pro Audio's RM-1 single unit rackmount adaptor. A single Q-AMP can be mounted in the center of the rack, or 2 Q-AMPs can fit side by side. SM Pro Audio includes robust connectors for all of the Q-AMP headphone amp's inputs and outputs.

Once again ... just junk.
This headphone amp failed in two days. One channel went out and then another a few days later. I called SM Pro Audio, the manufacturer, and have never had such a terrible experience. That's what I get for trying to save a few dollars. It's nothing but an ashtray. Get something else guys.
You can tell the board mount input jacks are just junk.
It has no value ... it doesn't work.

I bought this because it was a little cheaper than the Prosonus. They(2) were purchased September, 2010. I have had trouble with them ever since. The headphone jacks would not fit into the plugs correctly, I had to switch channels. The list could go on. In July, both of them gave out within a week of each other. I could understand one going out, but both within a week of each other?

So I finally did it, I bought a heaphone amp. After years of using splitters I decided it was time. I went with this one because my primary concern was dependability. No offense to the other brands, but they just have that look, like they're saying to me "you better buy a good warranty!" Now that I have this unit, I can confidently say its built like a tank. The build quality from the potentiometers, knobs, to the box itself are all top notch. There is a LOT of smooth resistance in the knobs, not flimsy, very accurate... I wish my interface had knobs/pots this nice. If you've dealt with this stuff you know exactly what I'm talking about. A loose and flimsy knob/pot can really make or break a piece of gear. I was a little slow to jump on the bandwagon, but I'm now a big SMpro fan. Especially for utility stuff like this. Bottom line, this needs a review. Its a good unit, buy with confidence. Very good quality components. The functionality is practically the same as the cheaper versions of it, but youre buying a unit that will last you years instead of months. I would also assume these components translate into a quieter signal. I gave the features a 4.0 because I'd like to see the option of having both A and B switched on any one channel at the same time. But I can make due. Final note, this thing looks a lot nicer in person than from this picture.
