I bought this unit to take to the radio station where I broadcast a weekly show. This unit isn't worth buying and it will be going back ASAP!One thing that really sucks is the automatic gain. If it wasn't for that, it would work okay enough for what I need it for.I say, save your money and put it towards a better unit where YOU have more control over it!

It is what it is...

I use this little guy to quickly get down song ideas. I've also made some decent live recordings of different musicians from church--each time using the highest quality setting. I particularly like the fact that I can transfer files to my computer (using the included USB cable)and then burn a CD or email the MP3 file using the included software. This recorder is also quite small--easy to slip in a pocket. I don't think Sony intends for this to be used by pros--they have other models for that. This little puppy is for the "Average Joe" who needs to record on the go!

Got it, but feel that way
