I used these for DJing for six years in all kinds of club situations. These are the ones. Perfect size, durable, not too expensive, comfortable, great for one-ear monitoring. All the other DJs were using a more expensive, bigger Sony model. Then, when they'd borrow mine, they'd like them more.
Durable. The closed-design isolates you from outside sounds quite well, which is a must if you use monitors for DJ'ing. The bass is slightly weaker than the other headphones I've put on, but it produces mid-range and high frequencies very well. If you're into image, they're pretty cool-looking, too.
In two years I have used these practicing continuously, everyday in my cubical and at many, many gigs. They look and sound great, and have lasted well considering my abuse. However, the plastic between the swivel cups and the headband broke on both sides. A less abusive owner should have no trouble. I hope.
Using mainly for dj'ing for the last year and a half. just recently, the sound in the left speaker began to get slightly less treble/mids than the right-may be because I usually dj with the right ear on only. don't know, but great sound overall for the $$.
Got a pair for christmas last year, used them daily for dj'ing and they have not cracked or broken yet. Sound quality isnt accoustically 'accurate' but they do sound good in the same way a sony hi-fi amp & speakers do.I have dropped them a few times, the cable has rolled under my pc chair wheels countless times, and they are still 100% fine.
