A quality mixer for a very affordable price.
The Spirit E Series mixers emphasize audio quality and an easy-to-understand control surface uncluttered by unnecessary facilities. The E Series can be quickly transformed into a rackmounted with desk suitable for use on the road with an optional rack extender from Soundcraft. It occupies just 9U of standard rackspace. Mic and line inputs are provided on balanced XLR and 1/4" connectors for optimum performance, while the main stereo outputs on balanced XLRs provide better integration with other professional equipment. There are insert points on every mono channel and the mix outputs for external signal processing. We purchased the Soundcraft E6 for our church's media room. After having used Behringer EURORACK UB2442FX-PRO, we decided to go the soundcraft route, mostly because of the now low cost ($200, compared to 400 list). For starters, these boards are packed very well in their boxes. The sides are plastic AS WELL AS ALL of the pots and faders. I was quite surprised because actually I was expecting better build quality. I realize that this is their lower model board however. (Could the E stand for Economy?) All in all, I thought it was a good purchase. For a small church or small gig where it doesn't require alot get this. For other gigs either go M series or better yet, go Midas!
