Perfect Low-Cost Mixer for Multi-Keyboards

Ask me a question

Great value.
After having Behringer's 800 series mixers, a PV6 and some old Crate attempt at a mixer, I was pleasantly surprised to find the Soundcraft 102 to be an excellent fit for my purposes: low cost yet providing quality mixing capabilities for my (two) keyboards on-stage. At this price, this mixer is a STEAL, and far exceeds the others in its price point (namely, Behringer's Xenyx 802). Two main lines--each with 3 band EQ--provide the basis for each keyboard, or with two additional twin stereo channels, your pre-mixed keyboard can be effectively inputted into a mix that comes out in stereo. The unit is well made, heavy for its size and not a piece of cheap plastic-based construction. And the bonus in this price range: An on-off switch!!! That's right: A real switch in the back to turn this off when not in use, instead of having to unplug the power cable.
No other mixer in this price range with this many features and quality.
Speaks for itself. Look at the price!

Clean sound, decent features, downright poor build quality

By Christopher Cimicata

from Undisclosed

Seems to have most of the same features in other comparibly priced mixers, but the overall build quality was extremely poor. The seams around the plastic sides and metal face were terribly uneven. A corner of the metal has a strange warped section where it wraps around in the front. To make things worse, it feels like nearly all the knobs are inconsistant in the amount of resistence required to turn them. I understand that this is a budget mixer, but I really don't think these types of basic quality issues are something that should be overlooked.

one flaw

By jason house

from Undisclosed

When I ordered the mixer I failed to see that none of the stereo input channels have EQ on them.
That is a huge flaw in my opinion. With that said, I think its a good product for the price. BUT it would be nice if at least one of the stereo channels had EQ.
seems to be built well. hard to tell have not had it long.
lots of channels for the price. NEEDS MORE CHANNELS WITH EQ.!!

mic mixer

By Benjamin Vidricksen

from Salina Kansas

I purchased this mixer primarily because I had professional mics with XLR connections for doing Karaoke and my previous mixer had 1/4 inch connections. I will get my full potential from my mics now by using the eq for vocals. It would be nice to have other eq channels but this is a step up for me. A good buy for the money as far as I am concerned.

USELESS !

By Holland Shoaf

from Undisclosed

Only two EQ ports for microphones. To use this like a DJ would I had to put my left and right channels in the microphone inputs and use my microphone in the instrument outputs to boost my musics sound and use the EQ. I use the AUX send knob for volume and dont use the slide knob at all which is stupid. If I wont to turn the music down I have to either use BOTH microphone input knobs or turn the aux send knob down but if I do that, it turns the microphone audio down. Like all the rest do, why doesnt this unit have more EQ channels ? I'll give it away as a gift to someone I dont like.
