Comments about Stanton C.502 Dual Rackmount CD Player:
I do some mobile dj-ing (weddings) and had trouble with my old cd decks skipping. Bought these, set them up within a couple feet of both speakers and cranked it to see if the vibration would force a skip. No skip at all. They have great sound. DJ'ed a wedding last weekend with no problems. They do go into sleep mode if untouched for a time, easily remedied by pressing play to wake them up, then pressing again to actually play music. Does take a second after pressing Eject for tray to open, and a half-second after pressing Play for the music to start. No big deal...just know to expect it. Haven't had them long yet, but have pushed them as much as I will need to and they've performed well so far. For the price, I'm very pleased with my purchase.

i have noticed that the player does not play all mp3 only some of them. I had the player for about 4 weeks and on the last weekend the right side player would not play any cd's or mp3. I have replaced it with A new one the same kind. I will give it one more try. i really do like it i hope it keeps working!

We have installed 3 of these 502 CD players now at two radio stations. They work great. Play even the most damaged CD's well, and the operators love them. The mp3 playback seems to be fine too. I'm not sure that all the mobile DJ features will work in the mp3 mode however, but for radio, the work just fine.
Comments about Stanton C.502 Dual Rackmount CD Player:
I purchased this Duel Deck specifically for a Murder Mystery Weekend that we do at my Theater during our off season because at one point during the weekend it is required of me to DJ for a good hour or more and they didn't want what they had for the past 20 years of their MMW wich was a single mix CD/Cassette put on and the sound guy walking away to do other things. With all that I gotta say that this player works great. Before we bought this we were using a Numark that just gave us problem after problem after problem. The biggest being it's inability to play certain CD-Rs. The Stanton, however, will play anything I pop into it. we've even had a couple weekends where guests brought their own CDs in hopes that I would play them and they worked just as good. I know this seems like a trivial thing but the ability to play ANY CD and CD-R AND CD-RW that I put into it is a very big deal considering several players are picky on watch you give it.In addition to that the controls are easy to use and I've yet to come across a major problem with it.The only two problems I have with it is the display isn't as bright as I'd like but even in the worst lighting I could still read everything. The second problem is that it bugged out on me a few times during our final Main Stage show of the year where after playing the last track (while in single track mode) it went back to the first track of the CD and played it. Now this only happened 4 times in the 2 months the show was running and using it so it's not terrible but I just wanted to put it out there.
