Comments about Stanton DJ Pro 300 Single-Side Headphone:

This is my fifth headset from Stanton in over 15 years. Of the previous four, two are still operational. I prefer to mix using a headphone in one ear while leaving the other ear open listening to the room's sound.
The sound of this headphone is great and you can't beat the price.

Comments about Stanton DJ Pro 300 Single-Side Headphone:

Time and again, I have seen vocalists in the studio listening to one side of a headphone set so they can better hear their own voices as they sing. I've done it myself. So, I asked myself, why not buy some one-sided phones? The ones targeted at studio use were pricey and, really, better than necessary -- the singer only needs to be able to follow the music.

So, these headphones marketed to DJs caught my eye. The price is reasonable and they are completely adequate for the job. Except that the cord is most definitely too short and I do have to use an extension!

I hate to do this, but....

Comments about Stanton DJ Pro 300 Single-Side Headphone:

Please do more research and spend more $ for something much better. They hurt your head, you can't turn them up, and you can't even use them for light personal listening because you only have one can. These are now my "backup backup headphones."
I dislike these headphones. They seemed promising, but were a big let down.
They are light and seem built very well. The sound quality is the big let down. When you need to turn them up a bit, they easily are maxed out and distort. I've been using bose headphones, and the difference is night and day. After wearing them for about 10 minutes your head wants them off. For some reason they quickly become uncomfortable. At first they feel wonderful, but then your dome starts to ache.

    The cord is nice though.
Seems a good value, but I would not pay anything for these. I would pay for them to not be manufactured, and have the materials go to building something better.
