DJ 'Pro'? Good sound; cheap construction.

I bought these headphones for the neodymium drivers, the coiled removable cable and to support a local business that carries them. I could tell right away, that I was going to have to treat them as if they were made of glass, due to the cheap (kid's toy) plastic that the adjusting sliders are made of. The headphones would be improved 100% if the sliders were made of metal. I am an occasional DJ, and also use the headphones for field recording and wildlife biology work, where I am always working with sound files. They broke while I was away working on a boat and I managed to repair them by lashing a piece of steel hoseclamp across the broken part and epoxying the whole mess together. Now they are bombproof, but no longer adjustable. Unfortunately, due to the cheap plastic sliders alone, these headphones are not 'PRO' and not worth the money. (BTW, the flashing LED's are SO goofy)

I received a pair of the Stanton DJ Pro 3000 Headphones for XMAS and they just now broke on me, an expensive pair of headphones and they don't even last 2 months of casual usage. The hinge on the left ear cup snapped right off. Do not waste your money.  Very disappointed in the quality.  Sound is amazing, just wish they would last longer than 2 months.

I Challenge You To Find Better!

I've owned (2) pair of JVC HA-810's for the past 13 years. They are the best sounding, most comfortable, most accurate cans I've ever heard. Well, unfortunately, they're physically beaten to death. (Ear cushions are tearing, cloth is gone, height adjusters are broken and taped back together, cords have been torn and spliced, you know... 13 years of use and abuse.) BUT, they still sound AWESOME!! WELL... I listened to no less than 22 sets of high-end headphones (including several models of each, including; JVC, Sennheiser, AKC, Audio-Technica, Beyerdynamic, Sony, American Audio and more, trying to find the quality of my beloved JVC HA-D810's and finally landed on the Stanton DJ Pro 3000's... I was so happy to finally find a set of cans that rivaled my old JVC's and in some ways surpassed them. Don't hesitate to buy these headphones!  You won't be disappointed! Nice warm mids, clear (but not over-powering) highs, clean tight bass (but not overly enhanced or deterred) these cans handle anything you throw at 'em and beg for more. Nice accurate sound, great power handling (be careful) and great looks and comfort, solid construction (anyone who breaks these is an animal)! Let's not forget the cool flashing blue LED's too ;) Great 'phones! I bought FOUR sets!!! (To party with three friends.)

Don't Judge a Book By it's Cover... Literally..

Features: The features are awesome, they look good, the sound is great, nice set of headphones. Quality: The quality is very terrible(that is why you don't judge a book by it's cover), the joints easily breal, material is cheap, buttons screw up heaps, the cord is the biggest problem because near the top end of the cord the flexible part doesn't do it's job so the wires pull which makes these headphones a load of Chinese rubbish. WARNING: Only use for DJing.... not as headphones. Sennheiser's would be best since parts are replacable as Stantons are not, once broken, you can't replace the part.  Value: Depends where you live, cost me quite a bit in Australia. Not worth the cash, go buy something else if you are using them as regular headphones(Use these for DJ use, get a pair of Sennheiser's for headphones). Overall: They look good, one of the worst headphones on the market and they are a rip off.

Broke too quickly

Nice features like the high & low cut. The flashing LED is fun if you like the added attention or like to annoy people who don't like such things! Sound is on par with most DJ headphones. But housing quality is horrible. Like many DJs who cue and mix with headphones on my shoulder, eventually all my headphones' will have an ear cup break off. With these, the ear first cup broke off in less than a month and the second the very next night. Compare that to a pair of Pioneer headphones I used for 2 years, and Sony headphones I've usually been able to use for at least 1 year. Subsequently, I can only recommend these to studio jocks and those who wear their cans on their heads.
