Don't buy this turntable unless you're looking for some of it's specific features. Good all around utility turntable.
I am the third owner of my STR8-80's. They have been harshly treated throughout the past year that I've owned them and still continue to work with the utmost excellence. Even though I've upgraded to TTX1's I still use the STR8-80's in studio jam sessions. If your a beging DJ you can't go wrong with the Stanton STR8-80's
Awesome turntable for the price. Good to start out with and lots of good features for those who want a good turntable but don't want to pay Technics prices.
I'll see what it takes to get it serviced. Right now, I'm pretty upset with it. I've kept it in a road case, but never taken it out of the house. It just stopped, and the manual gives no troubleshooting or service information at all. I need this to learn tunes from vinyl - not good...
The Stanton STR-80S sure are outstanding turntables for the money. I have owned my pair for four years now and not had one problem with them. Great Job Stanton
Twice the features and half the price. I started out on these three years ago, and would never EVER use technics over stantons. The pitch flexibility as well as tracking capabilites are far superior to anything I've encountered.
I got these to learn on and they do pretty well. The only thing I don't like is the lightweight platter and you can't turn it off and still hear the music.
