Comments about Stanton T.92 USB Turntable:

This is a great turntable. Solid construction, no wobble, no movement feedback. The choice of RCA, USB, and SPDIF give you plenty of output options. As with most modern turntables it comes with a switch to select between line or phono output, but I wish it had a gain control, as the signal outputs at a rather low volume without a phono preamp. If you don't mind increasing the gain after recording, it's not an issue, but just for listening it can be problematically quiet. I recommend running RCA on phono through a hi-fi for casual listening.

Still, great turntable for record collectors or enthusiasts. From what I understand it won't stand up to the wear and tear a DJ will likely have to put it through, but not being a DJ, it's perfect for me.

You might also want to replace the cartridge. Out of the box the sound quality's decent but it could be better.

Review

Comments about Stanton T.92 USB Turntable:

I bought this turntable in May 2010 because I had been using one that belonged to a friend and was quite pleased with its performance. However, it's now October and the pitch drifts up so badly I have to constantly tap the record back on beat during a mix. It will not hold up to regular use and practice if you are using it to mix. I am disappointed because I have come to expect quality products from Stanton, and this one did not live up to my expectations. My advice: buy the warranty.

Pleased

Comments about Stanton T.92 USB Turntable:

Purchased the T.92 as I have many LPs from years ago that I can now record to PC and burn CDs. I find the turntable to be of good professional grade, easy to use, and has a number of good features. Well worth the money. However, the soft ware that comes with the turntable is of little use. Dumps the last few minutes of recordings. Therefore I use the sound recorder from my Vista Home Preium with good success.

Great turntable, even though it's not a technics..

Comments about Stanton T.92 USB Turntable:

I know the 1200 series technics are considered the best turntables, but for someone that isn't a professional DJ, but often listens to vinyl records, this turntable is fantastic. If you're looking for a nice turntable with some modern features, look no further. This turntable falls in that category between amateur and professional, but I still feel it is closer to professional. The build quality is surprisingly sturdy, and the turntable weighs a ton. The direct-drive motor starts and stops very quickly, and the s-tone arm is a nice feature. The USB output is very handy for those wishing to digitize, and is a breeze to set up. The audio quality is nice, but the standard cartridge definitely isn't audiophile quality. But for my uses, it still sounds fantastic.Overall, you get lots of nice features, the turntable is built very well, the sound quality is better than average, and it all comes in a pretty valuable package. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a nice turntable that doesn't want to break the bank.
