Comments about Tannoy Reveal 502:

I'm a experienced guitarrist and arranger, but I'm don't have the studio practice. So, for the first time I bought a set of monitors during Black Friday.

PROs:
- The sound is reasonably clean and the speakers reproduce the frequencies that you find on the specs.
- It looks sturdy
- Each monitor comes with a P2 cable, in case you need to connect something fast, without an interface.

CONS:
- the speaker cable doesn't come with ground. Big flaw!
- the interference issues are real. This monitor is really sensitive to mobiles phones. True and shameful!

So, if you just want something with a good sound and a good value, the Reveal 502 is an option. If interference issues bother you, don't but this one.

    Comments about Tannoy Reveal 502:

I have been recording my own music for years not that I'm famous .I got these on sale here in Canada in 2015.I got them home and couldn't believe how modern and appealing they look.Took me all of 2 minutes to hook up and lo and behold I heard a BIG clear, very detailed sound, moving around as I was in my music room.I had to alter some settings in some songs as some sounds were different than I was used to,that was easy though.
These sound like speakers that cost 5 times as much and I must say they are very accurate in helping to mix your music.Highly recommended!

        Comments about Tannoy Reveal 502:

I bought these on recommendation of a mastering engineer who has demo'd a broad range of monitors. He let me know that these are the clearest and most accurate in their price point. However, to get the bottom octave (anything from about 50hz and lower), you will want to pair these with a sub. They do not disappoint, the clarity is on par with monitors costing hundreds upon hundreds more.

          Comments about Tannoy Reveal 502:

I have had these speakers for about a year now. I first got them because of the Tannoy rep and price. The first thing that I noticed was the clarity. Stunning. Just like someone else said, it made me go back and listen to all of my favorite music. I have used them extensively in my home recordings, and they are great at clearly picking out all of the instruments. It is true that they can have a bit of hiss, but I believe that this is because they aren't well shielded. If you move or rotated them just a little, the hiss is diminished, if not completely removed. Highly recommended for the price.

            Comments about Tannoy Reveal 502:

I'm a musician on a budget. I bought a pair of restocked Tannoy Reveal 502 monitors from MF at a bargain price. I wasn't sure quite what to expect with a 5" woofer, but I figured they would be halfway decent since Tannoy is part of the TC Group (along with TC Electronic and TC-Helicon, etc.). When they arrived, I grabbed some CDs from my listening collection that I knew were mixed well just so I could get a quick read on what the sound reproduction would be like. I was impressed with the amount of detail I could hear. In fact, after previewing several tracks from different CDs, I was overcome by a feeling that I needed to listen to my whole collection over again because it was as though I had never really listened to the music before. So many elements that I hadn't realized were there were suddenly being heard for the first time. It was definitely delightful. I left my first audition of these monitors inspired and totally stoked for mixing my own music! I feel like a surgeon who just got upgraded from a steak knife to a razor sharp scalpel! I have no doubt that I would love the 802s even that much more, but these fit my pocketbook and I am exceptionally pleased!

              Comments about Tannoy Reveal 502:

These sound better than I expected. i bought them for remote laptop recording but found I was able to match them to my very expensive custom made Black Beauties (6" two way) that I've been using for mixing and mastering. The EQ feature on the 502's allowed me to get them sounding very close to my BB's, but the great thing is that they sound even clearer, without any hyped high end. I use the high cut on the EQ switch. There's plenty of low end but it's in balance with the mids and highs. And they are super quiet. So thinking that I got a nice little pair for remote use, I got a nice little pair for critical studio use as well.
