OVERVIEW

A refreshed design of the popular Reveal series monitors.

The Tannoy Reveal 802 is the next step in the line of professional Reveal Series studio monitors. The powered Reveal 802 monitor's perfectly matched integrated amplifier ensures maximum efficiency and removes any need for a separate power amp. Response is optimized for near-field operation, such as on a meter bridge or on a table on either side of your control surface. Tannoy puts an Independent gain control on the rear panel, along with an HF trim control to allow fine tuning. Reveal 802 brings 67 years of tried-and-true legendary Tannoy sound to your personal studio that brings you pristine audio quality and massive power.

Rock-Solid Bass at Any Volume
Mixing bass-heavy hiphop or electronic music? Reveal 802 has you covered. Make no mistake, this is the ultimate near-field monitor for Low-End lovers, resting on decades of experience in loudspeaker research. The custom 8" woofer and 1" tweeter tell you exactly what is going on in your mix through the finely tuned active crossover filter. Combine this with a new 100 watt bi-amp module and you get rock-solid bass at any volume.

Expertly Voiced for Massive Sweet Spot
Custom tweaked by Tannoy's in-house speaker guru, Dr. Paul Mills, the active cross-over filters of Reveal 802 have absolutely impeccable timing. This produces the ultimate sweet spot so that you can move around in your workspace without losing the stereo imaging of your mix - as well as invite people to sit in with you during mixing sessions.

Easy Setup Option with Aux Link - Cable Included
If you're anything like us, you're not only working on mixes but also listening to your favorite music! Reveal gives you the ultimate pathway for both. With the Aux Link, setting up has never been easier. Use the included mini jack cable to plug into your favorite music player and link your monitors for an instant stereo setup - no need for external interfaces.

    Comments about Tannoy Reveal 802:

I'm a touring musician in the band Krooked Treez, and multi-genre-producer, so sound quality is always most important to me on all levels. I play, produce, and mix rock, hip-hop, reggae, dub step, electro, pop, and everything in-between. It's important for me to get an accurate mix of a song fairly quickly. The Tannoy Reveal 802 studio monitors have really impressed me and rise above all other competing monitors in its' class. In any genre, the monitors produce a balanced, bright, colorful sound, while still pounding with powerful bass, but not getting muddy in the lower frequencies. The front-ported enclosure allows the sound to vent and travel properly, and also allows you to set the monitors back against the wall without any loss of sound quality. Sitting in the carefully designed sweet spot gives me the true character of the music I'm hearing. These definitely have changed the way I work with music!
A great feature that the Reveal 802's have is the 1/8" audio cable that plugs directly into the back of one of the monitors, and they're linked together by another audio cable. I can conveniently plug in my iPhone, iPad, or Macbook Pro for a quick reference of a song to compare my mix to, or just bang some music while I'm working on something else. I put on my favorite playlist and they rock my studio!
The Reveal 802's have a very sleek, modern look/design, with very durable materials making them feel very solid, without being too heavy. I also like the cool blue lights that set the mood behind the monitors! They come equipped with a soft foam pad on the bottom to buffer the space between the monitor and the surface they sit on. This makes for a very clean output, avoiding vibrations or buzzing from underneath. All monitors should have this feature!
These monitors have multiple uses in my studio. I run them from protools/reason, or I can plug in my iPad with the 1/8" cable and write a song with garage band or make a beat with the iMPC app, just to name a few. I even plug my Roland Fantom G6 workstation directly into the monitors when I want to work out some sounds, or even produce using the Fantom's DAW. Regardless of what I plug into the Reveal 802's, I get rich, high quality sound! Musicians and producers rejoice, and trust Tannoy! I do!
