OVERVIEW

This combination CD/Cassette recorder has been enhanced with plenty of professional options.

TASCAM's most popular combination CD and Cassette recorder, the CC-222SL MKII, has been upgraded to support a more robust slot-loading CD transport with adjustable pitch control. This enhanced CC-222SL MKII includes a RIAA phono input which allows direct recording from a turntable.

Further solidifying the source-device's reputation for flexibility is its ability to be operated as two individual recorders; or, record one source to both recorders consecutively. It features digital I/O (coaxial and optical) for the CD and a set of RCA (unbalanced) analog ins and outs. The user can configure the player's ins and outs as two individual components or share the same I/O for both CD and cassette.

The CD recorder includes popular features such as Auto Track Increment, MP3 playback, Power on Play, Fade In and Out, Manual Track Increment, and a variety of playback modes. Support for dual media has made the TASCAM CC-222SL series a mainstay in houses of worship, schools, theaters and other installations.

Be careful

Comments about TASCAM CC-222SL MKII Slot-Loaded CDRW Cassette Deck:

This is an extremely tempormental unit. Using this as a cd unit will frustrate the crap out of you. It simply will not accept cd's eventually and just spit them back out with error messages. Do not buy. Get separate units for cd vs. cassette- this all-in-one unit sucks!!

Comments about TASCAM CC-222SL MKII Slot-Loaded CDRW Cassette Deck:

Sure wish we had bought something else!!! Recommend buying separate units vs. this combo...
Good selection of features--if they work!
Purchased the unit new a few years ago. It has received very limited use (2-3 hours a week) has always shown an error message when CD recording finishes, gradually started being picky about accepting blank CD's. Finally would not accept any blank CD's. Factory Authorized Service says needs entire CD Mechanism replaced!!! Why bother!?!
Very little use for such a price! The unit is now pretty much toast to us!

Comments about TASCAM CC-222SL MKII Slot-Loaded CDRW Cassette Deck:

I got this unit to be able to play sound tracks from dual media for singers. I have used it most at the moment to make recordings of practice sessions. I want to have a copy just in case I stumble upon a good sound. I got it for studio use only and it seem to work fine so far.

As far as my experience, who knows. I have not used any of my talent for money and give what I have away. I have been practicing for about 8 years an hour at least each day with very few vacations. I have experimented with many recording devices, at least one or two a year. I am more talented at electronics and recording/mastering then I do performing.

Comments about TASCAM CC-222SL MKII Slot-Loaded CDRW Cassette Deck:

We bought one unit several years ago, and for some reason the CD recorder just jammed up. Up until then, the unit was great! Never had any issues at all. Instead of buying a new unit, I decided to just replace the CD drive. After talking with TASCAM for several months, the drive was still back ordered. So I decided to buy a used unit instead. This worked out great for us. It saved us about $250!
