Whatever your CD-burning needs, the TASCAM CD-RW900SL CD Recorder features a robust slot-loading transport, 24 bit A/D & D/A converters, MP3 playback, key control, sample rate conversion, and selectable CD disc reading speed.
The CD-RW900SL recorder provides dedicated analog front panel input control, rear panel unbalanced (RCA) I/O, and S/DIFF digital I/O (optical and coaxial). Recently added features include Auto Cue and Auto Ready from the menu, selectable I/R remote Enable/Disable, and MP3 Action Setting (prevents accidental termination of continuous MP3 playback).
The features the user has come to expect from TASCAM are also included; Pitch Control on playback (0.1 to 1.0% in 0.1 steps), Auto or Manual track division, Sync Record Start, Power on Play, Elapsed, Remain, Total and Total remain Time display, and CD-Text read and write.

Overall, I'd say if you need a quality CD recorder for live recording or a project studio, you won't find a better unit with the features offered for anywhere close to this price. I do wish it had balanced input/outputs but still great product for the price.
Just purchased the Tascam CD-RW900SL (Got a GREAT price!) and I'm very impressed with the features and overall quality. I intend to use it for recording live shows I'm doing sound for. I've owned two other CD recorders in the past (Sony RCD-W3) and was satisfied with them until they quit working (almost immediately after warranty ran out) The Tascam has so many more features and I'm counting on it lasting for a extended period of time.
Unit seems to be built very sturdy and is ready for rack mounting. (I don't take anything of value out of the house without a sturdy rack) I do wish it had balanced inputs but can't beat features for the price. Love the remote control, especially when running house sound and recording at the same time.
Although I wasn't really shopping for a CD recorder at the time, once I read the specs and saw the great price it was going for, I couldn't resist.

Great unit for about 3 years until it failed me. I popped a CD into the "robust" drive and the Cd got stuck in there. Sent it to get repaired and they said the new drive costs 149.00. You know there is labor added to that. Very disappointed.

This is the first recorder I have used that have fulfilled all the needs that I require. I even find myself using 2 of them on stage recording and playback at a given notice. I am free to play anywhere on stage and with the remotes this is no problem. The only other thing I could have asked for is balanced in and out

The TASCAM CD-RW900SL is very easy to program and excellent sound quality! The input [L,R] level controls are usefull to balance audio! It is definitely is a Professional unit!
Much better quality than my previous well recognized name brand that failed just past the warranty with no factory service!

I have used this recorder and then owned one for almost 3 years. This recorder is used daily recording 30 minute CDs. It has not let me down. This unit was expensive when I got it but it was worth it. I would have another if this one broke down!

Just over all "SUPER"! Never worry this piece of gear. I used it to record church services . It does a good job as a playback machine also, never had a CD not to play.

I purchased this CD burner as a means of burning tracked music off of my BOSS RC2 Loop Station for playing events. It was very simple to use and the quality of the CD's if fantastic! Great for producing demo CD's. Highly recommend this item to all musicians.
