I bought this afte purchasing a set of Adam A5 monitor speakers. I have a small project studio and wanted to be sure the lows could be heard and felt when needed. I also use the studio for shear listening sessions (high quality CD's). I must say the Tascam did not dissapoint. I know it's hard to get now (or not at all anymore) but I could get a great deal last year and the Adam sub was out of my budget. Connections and controls are sufficient. The thing looks ugly but it's hidden under my mixing desk. Sound is smooth and no booming effects, very musical. Just a little blend of low gives great fundamental harmonics to the Adam A5's ass well. Great product!
