i bought these thinking they will work good. but only one side works for them and the other didnt work. it was statciting and not giving the quality sound from the right side even with power. i sent them back and got money back, if u want some good monitors look for more that worth it. these are not.

Not bad for it's purpose

Consider these monitors as B speakers and you'll appreciate them.  They are too small to actually do some critical mixing on them, go with 6 to 8" drivers, but as B speakers to undestand how your mix may sound in the real world, these would suffice.  they are in the same class as the mixcubes with far less power but within the same concept.  these reflect how mixes would sound on your pc speakers, car speakers, home stereo, etc.  so with any gear, know it's purpose first then consider the purchase.  i did, and they work well.

Better Off Spending More

You would be making a better investment paying 3 times more for a high-dollar set of studio monitors than buying the Tascam VL-M3 studio monitors.  There's virtually no low-end in these speakers.  You can pull some more low out of them if you're hooked up to a decent EQ, but they really need a sub. I will say that these speakers are solid and well-constructed.  They'll last a long time.  If you're looking for something small (they're only about 8 or 9 inches tall with a 3 inch woofer) to, say, go with your Tascam M-164UF setup, then these will do the job.  But I have a $25 set of computer speakers with a sub that sound better than these.  Really, it's better to save the money, wait it out, and buy a better pair of studio monitors.
