No-compromise Guitar FX and AmpTones
Our sister company is legendary guitar FX maker, TC Electronic, and by including some of the most popular sounds from their TonePrint pedals like Flashback Delay, Hall of Fame Reverb, Corona Chorus, and Vortex Flanger we've designed the Guitar section of VoiceLive 3 to rival even the most pristine pedal boards. Add to that the full gamut of great tone classics such as wah, octave, tremolo, and drive, and you've got an unbeatable guitar road kit.
- TC Electronic TonePrint FX styles from Flashback Delay, Hall of Fame Reverb, Corona Chorus and others.
- New Talk box, Chopper, Bass, Wah, and Drive guitar effects.
- A wide choice of amp emulations from vintage British to classic American, when bringing your own amp isn't practical.
- Acoustic Mode allows for quick set up of VoiceLive 3 for acoustic guitar.
- Guitar chords automatically guide vocal Harmony, HardTune, Synth and Vocoder effects.

Dedicated vocal PA and Guitar Out
What makes VoiceLive 3 stand out is the dedicated stereo vocal and stereo guitar amp outputs. Send your guitar sound directly to your favorite amp, completely independent of the vocal output going to the PA. The killer feature is that this also works if you're looping; the stereo vocal loops go to the PA while the stereo guitar loops go separately to the amps.

Building better songs with loops
VoiceLive 3's looping focuses allows you to experiment with real-time song creation or exciting loop jams. Arrange and re-arrange backing tracks with flexible verse-chorus-bridge switching. The LoopAssist function helps you make tighter loops effortlessly and auto-expands loops to allow different lengths. 45 minutes of looping time and infinite overdubs let you create entire sets of songs - and store them for instant recall.
- Powerful multi-track looper with intuitive control layout and infinite overdubs.
- 3 phrase looping with 4 selectable layering and serial techniques help you create intricate songs and on-the-spot re-arrangements.
- LoopAssist with multi-purpose metronome and quantize for perfectly synced loops.
- Auto expansion of loop length allows you to create long loops on top of short ones, and vice versa, without having to set up timing beforehand.
- Loops can be stored onboard and recalled together with presets.

Next-generation 3iC power platform
While the form factor of VoiceLive 3 continues the tradition for VoiceLive 2 and VoiceLive Rack, look under the hood and you'll discover an entirely different kind of beast. Sporting our new 3iC processing, VoiceLive 3 features cutting-edge hardware with 3 independent cores dedicated solely to vocals, guitar and looping. Match these with increased memory and lightning fast access and you're looking at more than double the processing power of our previous benchmark, VoiceLive 2.

Portable command center
We spent a lot of time figuring out the most effective I/O options to make VoiceLive 3 a flexible and extremely portable command center for your performance. On top of dedicated stereo PA and Guitar outputs you get separate monitor and headphone mix outputs, with a monitor mix input. Also included are our RoomSense microphones for controlling harmony and adding ambience to your monitor mix, as well as two control inputs for expression pedals or Switch-3.

- 4-channel stereo outputs with dedicated vocal and guitar channels.
- Independent headphone and monitor mix.- Combo Jack for Main inputs and automatic input/output sensing.
- Monitor mix input and pass-through to other monitors.

Total performance control
VoiceLive 3 is designed to empower you and your performance, giving you easy access to presets, sounds and switching between them, while providing complete customization of switch functions and deep edit control. Use the LAYER button to change between the vocals, guitar and loop control layers. Each mode gives you instant access to layer-specific functions via the footswitches, with the LCD display showing a clear view of which footswitch controls what effect.

- Consistent 3-layer UI philosophy. Vocals, Guitar and Looping each have their own 6-button layout.
- Stompbox-style access to individual effects and loop controls.
- LCD display shows current footswitch labels.
- Complete customization of footswitch assignments across layers to suit your personal style and requirements.

Guitar & Heaphone Cable
VoiceLive 3 comes with a specially designed combination guitar & headphone cable that facilitates in-ear monitoring and allows you to practice without an amp - and gives you ample freedom to move while you rock out.

But wait¦ there's more!
VoiceLive 3 literally has hundreds of additional features to make you stand out as a singer, guitar player and performer. And if you're upgrading from VoiceLive 2, there are dozens of new functions to discover and an army of upgrades and improvements.

Endless styles and genres
The GENRE feature allows you to easily browse hundreds of presets by style, effects type and artists. Choose a genre that suits you and VoiceLive 3 will list the presets that fit your preference. Perfect for when you're looking for that specific sound or need inspiration for your next song.

Make it a HIT
The HIT button turns on multiple effects at once to add effect layers or to create quick A/B scenes for each preset. Use it to add dazzling vocal effects for the chorus, or strip down a guitar part for the verse, or even a combination of both vocal and guitar effects changes - you decide!

Get loud, no clipping
The automatic Mic Gain feature takes the guesswork out of setting your input level properly. Simply sing your loudest into the mic and VoiceLive 3 will set your mic gain automatically for the best signal-to-noise ratio and freedom from nasty input distortion.

Control it from your mic
Add remote Mic Control with the TC-Helicon MP-75 or Sennheiser e 835 fx microphones for additional control of presets, performance, effects and looping while you're performing.

This thing is great. It's easy to use, and has enough useful patches right out of the box to cover most situations and styles, although they are spread out among all the patches.

I've tried harmonizer software and boxes over the years but they always fell short, and were difficult to achieve useful results with; the harmonies either sounded like munchkins or weird note choices made me sound like the Mormon Tabernacle Choir of Death. Not so here. Can one guy sound like the Eagles doing Seven Bridges Road? Try patch 47.

I tried this out at practice last week and with other humans singing their parts too, everything just sounds so natural. It's great to dial in a high 3rd and then step up to the mic to augment what the other guys are singing in places just to fatten things up and, I hate to say it, make us seem more polished.

The unit really needs a good harmonic reference (it listens to your guitar) to compute good harmonies. Plugging my guitar in to the Vocalive, and then sending the guitar through to my pedalboard works great. The vocals go from the XLR out to the board. At home I just use the monitor out to an amp if I'm feeling lazy. Room sense (as opposed to plugging your guitar in) doesn't always work as well.

Even without the harmonies, it makes my vocals sound punchy and clear. I tried it with an ND967 and a Beta 58 and both mics sounded great. Can't wait for the free MP-75 to show up and try that out.

One of the nice surprises was just how useful the guitar effects section is. I already have some of the effects (a TC reverb, delay & chorus) on my regular pedal board, so I felt right at home. The overdrives are surprisingly useful. I'm a tube guy, not because you can't get any good sounds with a digital pedal, but because they generally don't respond to changes in guitar volume like tubes do. These mostly clean up pretty smoothly when you back off the guitar volume.

The hit button is great. You can turn on or off multiple effects in both the vocal and guitar sections at once just by tapping it.

I think with a little experimentation and programming, you could go play a job with just this, a volume pedal for the guitar, and an expression pedal for things like wah (yes it has that too). I'm not saying you could dial in all the exact sounds you get from your pedal board today, but you can create great sounds that will work for almost any situation.

I'd give it a five except for one thing (hope you're listening TC). While you can:
a) Dial in a great guitar sound in a global patch and use it with every vocal patch, or
b) Dial in the global patch and use it in some vocal patches, and individually program the guitar sounds that don't use the global guitar patch, or
c) individually program every patch (the way it comes from the factory, and manages to show off the versatility), but I'd like to see...
d) The ability to set up several global guitar patches and select from them for each vocal patch. Or, the ability to independently select guitar and vocal patches if I want. Maybe even have the hit button swap between two guitar patches.

Come to think of it, I have to tap several buttons and twist a few knobs on my pedalboard to do that, so maybe it deserves a 5.

Great box. Glad I bought it.

I enjoyed this unit for 90 days until it stopped working. When I turn it on it displays a blank blue screen and will not boot. I have read all the online posts on this issue and have tried everything. The return period with MF is up and now I am in the process of dealing with TC Helicon's warranty system which is automated. Wish me luck.

Comments about TC Helicon VoiceLive 3:

Guitar and Vocal effects within the same box is a huge plus. Vocal harmonies are quite extensive and unlike some other products that are out there they are sufficiently realistic without that "synthetic" sound . The unit also contains most guitar effects that any musician would need for live or in studio recording. User manual is comprehensive, strait forward and easy to understand. Short learning curve to get up and running in a short period of time. Headphone monitoring concept is awesome.Quality product that delivers stellar performance.

Loved it. I received the voice live 3 very quickly and open the box the moment it got here. I was immediately jamming with it with a smile on my face. It is so easy to use. All the buttons are laid out perfectly. The sounds that are packed into this pedal are amazing. I am an acoustic musician and because of this pedal I was able to double my song list within a week. The voice live 3 is a great tool for all vocalist and it is just pure fun. By far my favorite piece of equipment.

Some killer vocal effects. Guitar amp models just weren't toneful enough though. I was hoping to replace my RP1000 with this, but the tones are just not that great. Guitar effects other than amp modeling and distortion were generally excellent, though. Loved the talkbox sim.
Biggest problem for me was when the patches switched on their own several times. Back to MF!

Comments about TC Helicon VoiceLive 3:

            This is a great product.

I already have a digitech vocalist live 3 and it does really great harmonies, it is quick to set and play.

That being said, I have not touched it since I got my Voicelive 3 a month ago. Right out of the box I was enjoying the vocal effects and having a great time experimenting with it. It's not that the voicelive 3 is difficult to use, it just gives you control over a ton of options. The voicelive 3 is so good at the vocals and then all the other things it does, it is truly amazing. I am using it for the vocals, guitar effects and the looper.

This is the first TC Helicon product I have ever owned, and I am really impressed by their continuing to improve the product. They really stand behind the product, they really care! I have loaded the latest firmware and I would say this is really a must to get the best out of the pedal. TC also has videos on it's YouTube channel to assist you even more. It takes a bit of time to get it dialed in, but it is worth it!

Comments about TC Helicon VoiceLive 3:

Got this Voicelive3 a few weeks ago and it's absolutely a must have if you're serious about performing and recording. TC Helicon also sent me the MP-75 mic and gigbag they had as a FREE promotion (I think it ended 12/31/14). I wish I had something like this sooner as it is a little pricey but it DEFINATLY WORTH IT ! Some of these reviews are knocking the guitar effects but don't listen to them- the effects are PRO and equal any pedals out there. It's a really sturdy metal case and should stand up well for giging. I've been using Musician's Friend for over 15 years and their service record is brilliant. If you're undecided about spending the money- just get it, you won't be disapointed...the vocal effects and choices of layering are pretty handy especially if you don't have any other singers in your group. I love this thing and TC's mic (it really beat my Shure 58's and Beta ) adds a feedback reduction and full fat sound for vocals. I haven't experimented with my saxes using the harmonies- but my vocals come out great. Thanks TC Helicon for this machine- P.S. they have current new software on their website and a whole bunch of advice for using this. You get what you pay for and VoiceLive3 delivers.

I have had several different types of voice units from TC Helicon and from past experience I knew this unit would be a show stopper and it was. Basically, easy to use and a power house of harmonies, effects, both guitar and voical. I even purchased the Switch-6 to go with it. I can't say enough good for this unit. It's excellent. Had some trouble downloading firmware so I could use the Switch-6 and Support was right there to help. They even sent a second email back to me asking if I needed any more assistance from them. Excellent product & support.

Comments about TC Helicon VoiceLive 3:

I enjoyed this unit for 90 days until it stopped working. When I turn it on it displays a blank blue screen and will not boot. I have read all the online posts on this issue and have tried everything. The return period with MF is up and now I am in the process of dealing with TC Helicon's warranty system which is automated. Wish me luck.

I was amazed at how fast it got to me. Right out of the box I began to plug and play without reading any instructions on purpose to see how user friendly it really is...not for the new kids for sure but the book that comes with it is outstanding. I have played in bands for years and could feel the harmony tickle my ear, you know...when the sound is spot on! I truly enjoy the different guitar settings. I was playing and singing Pink Floyd in minutes. Bottom line, I put my guitar amp away and my Base guitar as well. Don't need them any more. Thank you Musicians Friend and Thank you TC Helicon

This has everything a person would need to perform live or in studio. As far as the sound goes it's ok. I like my Voice Live 2 better as far as the over all sound goes. But with all of the little tricks this one is hard to beat. Don't really need a amp, this has a good amp sound built in. Over all this is a good piece of gear, just prefer my voice live 2 better..

Comments about TC Helicon VoiceLive 3:

I have been a professional musician for over 30 years. The idea of this particular pedal is great. I thought it was going to be the best thing since it was going to fulfil all my requirements in one neat package, no more pedals covering my floor area during live performances. But, alas, it was not to be. The vocals did the job, but too many whiz bangs in there, just give me a few good quality delays and reverbs without the robots and monsters. I found it was going weird on me during big notes and breaking up a bit. I spent nearly a whole month trying to get a guitar sound that I thought was good quality. The guitar sounds are lacking, badly lacking. I never used the looper, tho I guess some find it useful. I even sent it to a qualified TC Helicon repairer to get the hardware mod to stop the buzz and pop. I sold it on ebay for half of what I paid for it because of the known problems. I sold my Zoom pedal because I thought the voicelive 3 was all I needed. I was naïve to think this small light weight unit was going to replace my 3 other units, zoom pedal, harmonizer, and reverb/delay units. In short, I was very disappointed.
I've bought back all my old equipment. Like I said, the idea is excellent. I hope there is a manufacturer out there who will do this concept right. I would pay 3 times the money TC Helicon is asking for the unit if only it was truly a pro level unit. I have bought other TC Helicon stuff in the past and found it to be very good. I was let down by this unit. I think they were trying too hard to keep the cost down. Give me quality and charge if you have to, but don't waste my time with gimmicky toys. I use a zoom g7.1ut midi'd up to a voice Digitech Vocalist Live Pro Vocal Harmony Processor. I get pro guitar sounds, with studio quality vocals and harmonies, with the click of a user program from the zoom. Sorry TC Helicon, I'll wait when you get it right, or until someone builds something better. Nice idea tho.

First one I was sent there was no sound coming out via any microphone I tried. Sent tech support emails with Helicon (forget about phone support they won't do it) which didn't help.
Sent the unit back to MF for replacement and I was sent a USED one that also didnt' WORK!
                      I'm done the TC Helicon.

Comments about TC Helicon VoiceLive 3:

The VL3 does a great job with vocal effects and clean guitar sounds, but I'm returning it for the following reasons:

                      - The vocal latency is very noticeable when you're singing with headphones and the more effects you add, the worse it gets. Even with just a few basic effects on, I can absolutely hear the slight delay when compared to my analog gear (mixer with outboard reverb).
                      - The guitar amp settings are ridiculously confusing, instead of going with an amp modeling approach like Line 6, you need to adjust parametric eq settings to create your amp sound (without any visual guide). So unless you know exactly what frequencies you like to hear (I don't know a single guitarist who does), good luck getting the right sounding amp. And there's a very limited amount of distortion and lead tones available compared to Line 6 gear.
                      - The VoiceSupport software honestly sucks. It constantly has trouble connecting to the device and even when it does, you can only do very basic things like copy and backup presets. Again, Line 6 is light years ahead of them in the software department (everything has a visual amp model you can adjust).

Very cool concept device, but it doesn't justify the price tag just yet.

I own both the VoiceLive2 & VoiceLive3. The 3 adds lots of additional sounds and tweaks as well as a multi-track looper. Every time I play out, people notice all the layers of sound. I'm a mediocre singer....this makes me sound like a pro. If you want to spend some time learning the system you will not be disappointed. It does a lot, and sometimes it actually does too much.....when I'm in front of a crowd and can't remember which button to punch. Oh yeah...that has happened, especially when using the looper for complex songs. Also, test it out in different playing environments, such as loud and soft volumes. I have notices that can make a difference with the tone. Overall, I am amazed every time I use this thing. It's a lot of fun....and it will make you sound good, too! Play hard....have fun! :)

lasted 45 days and the guitar input became became faulty. MF refused to honor the product so now I have to deal with the manufacturer which does not have a standard 800 number to call. Too much money to spend for this kind of service. I may have got a bad egg and I will say that the product was great while working but MF needs to stand behind their products.

This is absolutely a great machine with true to life sounding harmonies. I have used this live with my band but it makes a great practice tool to let other singers hear the harmonies they need to learn if they are having a problem. The only downside that I discovered is that the manual is terrible as is their video instructions. They like to clown around to be friendly to their viewers but I want meat in my instructions and they miss that. I they would slow down their presentations and not only explain but show visuals of each step it would be much better. They never explain anywhere how you name a new preset and where you get that new number. I still don't know. This is absolutely a Great machine but they need to improve their instructions. If they did that there would be no need to have all these amateur videos on YouTube.
