OVERVIEW

Personal PA and monitor.

The VoiceSolo FX150 is a personal PA & monitor that is simple to setup, and provides accurate monitoring for performers on stage. The VoiceSolo FX150 features a 6.5" Tannoy 2-way coaxial driver powered by 150W Class-D amplifier, providing crisp, clean sound so you can hear all the subtle details of your performance, helping you sound your very best. There's also a 4-input digital mixer with built-in effects including reverb, compression, and an adaptive EQ. The FX150 easily attaches to mic stands without any additional accessories required, allowing for optimal placement anywhere on stage or even in the studio, and its versatile design supports wedge monitoring and mic stand-mounted PA and monitoring positions.

Outstanding Vocals, Tone and Reverb
We know vocal processing better than anyone, and it puts FX150 way ahead of the pack. Press "Vocal Tone" and you get intelligent EQ that adapts automatically to your voice and adds compression, de-essing and gating for a tight, professional sound.
In addition you have the choice between 9 studio-grade REVERB styles to add that extra sheen to your vocal performance - or your instrument sound.

It's All in The Mix
VoiceSolo FX150 hands you the controls to dial-in a superb personal mix on-the-fly. With an ultra-low noise, 3-channel digital mixer it offers independent 3-band EQ on each channel and fast editing control of all features. It's as easy as pressing the button for the level or parameter you want to change and then using the universal "Edit" knob to fine-tune the mix to your ear's delight.
You can also connect your mp3-player to the Aux input and rehearse with your favorite tracks using the "Voice Cancel" feature to seamlessly blend in your voice.

No Assembly Required
If you've ever owned a mic stand-mounted speaker before, you know setup can be an ordeal. You risk either losing the custom adaptors or get hit by the swinging boom arm when trying to screw on the unit. Our Easy Grip mounting system lets you set up in seconds - no special parts or time-wasting assembly needed.

Simply snap the FX150 onto the mic-stand and it's show time! Furthermore, the special monitor design allows for accurate wedge angling, stand-alone or desktop placement.

Not Just for Vocals
We believe that for a PA system to be truly personal, it must cater to all aspects of your performance - not just vocals, even if this is your main use for it. This is why you'll find that not only is FX150 the ideal Full Range Flat Response (FRFR) system for your guitar, it faithfully delivers the deep Oomph of bass like you would not believe.

So let me start by saying that this little guy is plenty LOUD! Obviously, if you use it for a huge stage, may not be the best thing to fight the laws of physics & acoustic propagation, but for a small or mid venue this will let you hear what you're playing very clearly -- It has for me. For a decent size room, it was surprised how loud it gets without distorting the sound. I have not been able to play with at the features it has as of yet, but it is nice that each time I do, it surprises me in a pleasant way. This thing is LOADED with all kinds of tricks and gadgets... Great investment. It is light and very portable, unlike some other monitors that are heavy and bulky -- and some even quite unpleasant looking. It can be used as a mini PA as it has more than one channel (in fact 3), each channel has its own EQ and other effects options. In my case all effects are already pre-arranged in my pedal boards (for guitar and voice), so I have not need to use anything other than the default settings. However, it is very nice to know that I have that "plan B" and option if needed. It has a mic-stand clip option, I have not used in that manner yet, you can also put it on top of a MIC sand if desired.... which by the way helps with the sound projection. That's normally the way I use it. Another thing I like is that you can plug either XLR or 1/4" cables on the same input.. very smart design, and convenient, especially if you're in the middle of a technical cable crisis. Best part is that gives YOU control over the output of your own monitoring sound, and don't have to rely on the sound person giving you enough juice to hear yourself mid-song. If this thing got broken or stolen, I would get another one, no question. I think anyone who has been out on stage knows it can be very challenging hearing yourself on stage without some kind of sound monitoring, this is a must have for your sound reference - it makes ALL The difference... especially if you're singing!

Hey Gearheads,

I would recommend you to steer clear from TC-Helicon's products. I had a bad experience with their personal monitor products. I have two, the TC-Helicon VSM-300 & VSM 300XT's (the prior versions of there new FX150 series). One failed on me after a year, it would go from very soft to extremely loud causing feedback just out of the blue. It was out of warranty, so they offered a flat service fee to fix this unit. So I sent the unit out to their Southern California TC-Group service facility from South Florida paying the shipping fees to their center. After a month I got it back and it had the same problem as when I sent it, so I was out the service fee and in shipping the unit back and forth. I was so tired after months of wrangling with them and going without a monitor, I just gave up and bought another personal monitor (different brand) and put this one up on the shelf. Then later their other unit developed the exact same problem of going from very soft to extremely loud for no apparent reason. But before I just went out and purchased another personal monitor I thought I would give them the opportunity to try to give me a reason why I should buy their products. The response was unfortunate, I talked with a "Customer Care Specialist". Nelson who promotes this weird idea that all equipment will fail after a period of time, and he would not take any responsibility for the fact that both units had failed in exactly the same way, and also their service facility had failed. So if a company that stands behind its products is important to you I suggest you steer clear of TH-Helicon.

Comments about TC Helicon VoiceSolo FX150 150W Personal PA & Monitor:

I've have two of these in my band's rehearsal studio for about a year and a half. We have taken them out to live gigs once, but since prefer to leave them in the studio because we don't have cases for them and they seem kind of fragile. They work pretty well to provide personal monitoring in a rehearsal scenario. Here are the issues I see:

    1. They are fairly high fidelity but a little prone to feedback as a result. We discovered that avoiding the Voice Tone button was key to getting a decent sound in the rehearsal studio.
    2. Although convenient, the stand mount has them sliding around a lot.
    3. The reverb sounds great but cannot be used for the monitor only. It HAS to be sent out to the main mixer board. No performer should be able to apply their own reverb to the house mix, bypassing the mixing engineer. It's a disaster waiting to happen and IMO a big design flaw that shows these are not meant for live use by professionals. If your band members have the self control to leave reverb turned off when performing live, then fine.
    4. Reliability. Out of the two I have been using in my rehearsal studio, one died about 1.5 years after purchase, and the other's controls are not all working. They went out of the room only once months ago but have stayed in place in the rehearsal studio otherwise, with light usage. The computer inside just stopped working on the one. Reset does nothing. On the other hand, my Behringer B205D (non computerized cheaper competition without reverb) goes to every gig and rehearsal and still works fine. It's not as hi-fi sounding, but works reliably for monitoring my sax during both live performances and rehearsals. It has had several times the usage, but there is no computer inside to fail and feels more rugged in general.

Comments about TC Helicon VoiceSolo FX150 150W Personal PA & Monitor:

I use two of these for my vocal duo as monitors. Haven't used the "more me" type setup yet, just a soundboard mix. Has plenty of punch, surprisingly full sound with pretty deep base tones (we use a Roland drum & bass machine on some songs). Have used it for a small PA once, was plenty loud enough for a small venue/house concert. Reverb quality is outstanding. It is a little odd to get used to the digital channel control system, but once it's set up, it really doesn't need more than up/down on the master volume control.

I have already recommended this product to a friend. The speaker cover needed to be loosened to not vibrate with reverb. I may have to add a little padding under the screen by the screws to keep it from vibrating in the future but other than that it is an amazing little wonder machine. I use it to stream my sound tracks from my iPad for my voice performance since I don't have a band or musicians backing me up. So amazing!!! My first speaker. Also, if your friends have them you can string them all together for a performance and send it out to a large sound system. It is great having a mixer right in the speaker to make sure you have the best sound quality at your finger tips in arms reach... It also has the monitor and voice semi-cancel features which are great too:) You have complete control over the sound quality!!!

Compact, easy and COMPLETE rig that lets singers manage their own sound. Has reverb and compression that the behringer and mackie personal monitors do not. Sounds excellent! Leave the mixer (and the sound guy) home - just plug this into the mains and rock on.

I just received this monitor and it is the best I have used so far. As a vocalist and musician playing a variety of stringed instruments in worship services and in several Christian bands, I often have trouble hearing what I am singing/playing. This appears to be what I have been long searching for. (For those who have problem with the device slipping down on the stand, I suggest using a hose clamp under the unit for an easy fix! - Not beautiful but simple, economical and efficient.)

Comments about TC Helicon VoiceSolo FX150 150W Personal PA & Monitor:
