OVERVIEW

Easy-to-use pedal thickens live vocals with realistic doubling emulations, octaves, and detune effects.

The doubling effect in VoiceTone D1 incorporates TC-Helicon's research into differentiating pitch-shifted voices from your lead voice to produce convincing group unison vocal effects. Single and multi-voice natural doubling styles are available including octave shifted variants, classic fixed detune effects and even a group shout for extra fun.

As simple as plugging in your mic
Gaining access to the studio quality sounds and intelligent processing of the VoiceTone D1 is as simple as plugging in your mic and turning the effect on. Of course, you can always change the style or the amount of effect.

Strong family genes
The TC-Helicon VoiceTone Singles series includes four vocal processing pedals, each with a single mission - to allow any vocalist to deliver jaw-dropping performances. VoiceTone Singles are the ultimate combination of tone and simplicity. Each of the four effects has inherited algorithms from the award-winning VoiceLive 2, so although VoiceTone Singles come in small packages they deliver a big sound.

Comments about TC Helicon VoiceTone Single D1 Doubling & Detune:

This gizmo DOES work well. The sound quality is reasonable and is better than a clear vocal channel or NOT having one at all. You do however have to noodle with it a bit, and figure out the output and experiment. Take time with the thing, and work with it. It will do what it's supposed to.

This stompbox make any live song better.I use this at every live show my band does.Make the chorus jump out. Can even make back up vocals seem more powerful.Highly recommend this item for rock bands who perform live.Easy to use. Easy to set up. Great selection of effect style. Works wonders.I use this with Create XT and Correct XT using the Voicetone singles connection kit.

Comments about TC Helicon VoiceTone Single D1 Doubling & Detune:

I purchased the D1 in order to thicken my vocals in a live performance. I already had a Boss VE-20, so obviously since I saw the TC Helicon manual on how you can connect up to (6) TC Helicon pedals together...connecting it to my BOSS VE-20 should be no problem.Right? Well...the D1 seems to be cancelling out the BOSS effects. I told the MusiciansFriend techs about it...and they just sent me to TC-Helicon...who in turn asked me to record what is going on. Obviously...neither tech group is interested to know the source....so I guess it simply shouldn't be done.Bottomline...you can connect the TC-Helicon processors together...but not to other processors of a different make/model.

Comments about TC Helicon VoiceTone Single D1 Doubling & Detune:

I do a solo country blues and such. Have used the Harmony G for a year or more. there is no comparison. This is not bad but I personally do not find it useful. I tried it at home and at a show. My recommend is just get the Harmony GX. Use it or any of these types of things sparingly and very subtle.

Comments about TC Helicon VoiceTone Single D1 Doubling & Detune:

I bought this so I could make my chorus have more power. I was also hoping for it to make my voice sound a bit fuller.

Every function on this unit sounds processed and robot like. It was so bad my bandmate all leaned back when I turned it on.

I've double my voice in programs and it works great but this unit does it in a weird robot way. The only upside is it worked really well for making me sound like Billy Corgan. :P

Comments about TC Helicon VoiceTone Single D1 Doubling & Detune:

I am still working with this pedal. I use a SM 58 direct into this pedal and from there into a TC Helicon Mic Mechanic and into the PA. It does add something but in a subtle manner. I am aware of the Wet/Dry settings; however, the more wet settings are nothing I can use in classic rock. I am not sorry I purchased this though because as I mentioned it does add a little change to the sound. Find a setting you like and just leave it on most of the time.
