This thing really does it all. The learning curve isn't too steep, but there is a lot to dig into. I mix house parties. Mostly hip-hop. With it hooked up to a wireless system I can actually enjoy myself at the show. The beat matching feature stays locked pretty tight. I love that I can move about and talk to people. No one can bump the table and make my needles jump. I used a Serato setup with one turntable and this is a much smoother way to mix. I also am a turntablist, this will not get the hard cuts I want some times. It is the best way to mix a basic gig. If you are getting paid to play, people like the turntables and wont be happy with their dj that looks like he is playing with his iphone. I have played a wedding with it with success, I just had to keep the Pacemaker a secret. People like to see vinyl spinning. I love the Pacemaker, but it will ruin some of the magic. Unless you get tech with it, the filter sweeps and such all sou a little corny. take some time with it and it will sound great.
This Tonium Pacemaker 666 has been a welcome surprise. It's rugged build is the first thing you notice out of the box. It charges easily, syncs with Pacemaker Editor seamlessly and adds a new dimension to your show. I use it when I MC a wedding (together with a headset mic) so that I can fire off the songs & address the crowd in front, rather than in behind my equipment. The mix feature is really right on, using visual as well as audio to assist. Really a great investment to those DJ's who like to "think out of the box"!
