EZ Drummer is a great plug in for recording because you can use it a more realistic click track as well as adding drum tracks to demos or projects you're working on. Also, a great use I've found is using the new Solo program for songwriting and while I teach guitar lessons. The students really like feeling like they're playing with a real drummer rather than a boring metronome. It may not have as many rhythmic variations as the more expensive options but for the price, it's a great tool.

I currently have Cakewalks SI Drums, Session Drummer 2 and some free imitation 808 drums... I have heard samples and compared and contrasted BFD2, Steven Slate Drums (a close 2nd) session drummer 3, addictive drums, abbey roads drumms etc. but I still like EZ Drummers/superior 2,0's sounds the best. If you do your longtime homework you will find that EZDRUMMER has been used by big record companys and big names. I wish I had the money for it's big brother Superior Drummer 2.0 but I spread my cash in multiple plug-in directions. Feel free to review all you want but in the end you can't beat the price I got this for (79$) and It was money well spent. I love this plugin and it definitly delivers all that it promises and more. I have a large library of free midi drum files and a feature I found extremely useful in EZDRUMMER is that you can drop thos into it and sample them quickly and painlessly. You can seriously mix and match fills verses, choruses etc. with ease. You have enough control of the overall sound of the drums with having the ability to adjust two different mic settings on the drums and the volume/panning of each individual drum. It comes loaded with pre made patterns as well which was sweet to find. The drums have an authentic sound to them so rest assured. Don't take my word from it check out samples in various places and compare and contrast. Word to the wise... some video samples on Youtube do not do the drums justice... take in a count that it is the video quality not the drums. you will find some that sound great!!! Don't hesitate get EXDRUMMER for a more quality affordable sound!

Amazing product for home recording!EZ to work with and sound quality is so professional. Many drummers left unemployed after EZ Drummer release, sad but true-what to do?Today it's not like in the 80's.You just go to the local music store and buy bunch of legal software or download not so legal ones and there you have it.Put pair of nice monitors, good audio interface and start recording. But now back to EZ drummer. It's really cool and if you buy the expansion packs you'll be OK..Plenty of samples, tempos and so on...It was the only missing link in my studio and now it's complete. One less musician to hire I guess.

I use Cubase 5 and Windows Vista. I had no major issues loading this software. Works great, sounds great, and is pretty user friendly. With this program, and the midi drum editing in Cubase, I can now create some really nice drum tracks. Lovin it!

This programmer kicks ass and sounds so real it's unbelievable. I use a Macbook Pro so it works fine for me, but I do see plenty of people having issues who use Windows. I feel bad for you guys, because this thing owns. I recommend expanding the software because the standard kits they give you get a little stale after a while. Drum Kit from Hell is a nice addition. Very awesome for metal.
