Not professional audio quality.

Features:

Four channels in one rack unit? Why not give it a try? I bought this product and strongly recommend against anyone else purchasing it. The features are great, except the product does not work. Channels were overlapping, there was static and hum depending on where I held the microphones, no way to adjust the channel, gain was different on the different channels even when set to the same level on the unit, power supply is an awkward wall wart. Features seem great in the advertising, but this wireless microphone system does not work properly and is in no way professional.

Quality:

Plastic, not awful build quality, but not built to last. Cannot be mounted in a rack without pulling out the rubber feet that they ship the unit with (they should be shipped in the box for people who won't rack-mount, but shouldn't be standard. This is not professional quality - the wireless channels are fixed and overlap. The audio crackles and cuts in and out.

Value:

Good value - four channels in one unit, but it is not guaranteed that every channel will work. Not a professional product.

Overall:

Overall, I would not recommend this to anyone. It might work for a child's karaoke setup, but nothing where you would expect equipment to perform well and actually function properly.

VoCoPro wireless Mikes

Features:

I've had this system for about 8 months now and have really been satisfied with the mikes. My sound guy likes them better than the two Shures I have and says they sound better than the Shures. The battery life is forever almost. I get about three to four shows off batteries and that's counting about 3 hours rehearsal before show. I do wish they would give you some indication of a weak battery like a blinking light or something but they don't. When battery goes down, it starts making a funny sound like a helcopter but I can live with that. It's not loud so have learned to recognize as soon as we hear it. For the money, this system cannot be beat in my book.

This system has what you need to get the job done

Quality:

One thing in life that rings true more than others is.....You get what you pay for. I didnt expect high quality for this price, but was slightly suprised to hear these mics once in the system. The range (distance from the console) is good. I could get 60 or 70 feet away from the unit with no degradation of the sound. I might try some other things to clear up the sound a bit (I am no pro) but I am overall pleased with the product and the quality for the price. The case is nice but a little flimsy and the foam molding will be great for transport. Please note I have only had the system for a week and cant really comment on how well the system is going to hold up, but I am optimistic as the feel of the mics is sturdy and the switches and knobs are all clean when operated.

Value:

Great price for what I received, as long as I dont mention that one of the mics did not work out of the box. Had to send the whole system back as soon as I got it, which wasnt good because I had already incorporated it into our set up. But, again, I didnt expect to have my cake and eat it too.I am using this system for a youth worship team, and this will be a great starter system.

Overall:

This is a great price compared to other high-end systems and if you're not too big on the finer details of what your vocals sound like, I would recommend this system. Be sure and buy the system well in advance of when you need it because (as I have seen in other reviews) they may not get it right the first time and you may have to send the entire system back. Musicians Friend, however, did a great job of taking care of the problem and had my replacement system on the way the same day I called to tell them of the defective mic. Musicians Friend gets a 10 for customer service.

overpriced and not reliable

This mic system may look like a great deal from the fact that it is All-In-One compact but is very disappointing, and develops problems fast.

First of all each mic is a SINGLE RECEIVER type NOT diversity.

There is a lot of crosstalk that pops up randomly when more than one mic is being used.  You need somebody standing by the receiver ready to tweak the knobs with a screwdriver at a moment's notice.

I finally stopped using it after one channel completely died 6 months later. I replaced the unit with four individual Nady UHF-4 Handhelds which I highly reccomend.

VocoPro UHF-5800 Great for Karaoke

| Review By: John Z-BbNen | 7 months, 2 weeks ago

Features:

I am a professional Musician/DJ and use these mics for Karaoke Shows.  They are NOT Shure PGX's or above nor are they Sennheisers.  However,  if you want a decent 4 mic system for mutants singing karaoke that sound great, are durable and won't make you cry when some idiot drops it, then these are for you. Once again, they don't have the range of expensive wireless mics but most of the time, karaoke singers are usually within relative close proximity and these will work well up to about 75 ft. away.  My 1st set lasted about 3 years and under went some brutal punishment.  2 of the mics still work but I can't replace the other 2 because the Feds took away those frequencies so I am buying a new set.

Once again, being a musician for 40+ years I know my stuff and am very critical of equipment.  I use only expensive Shure's for my DJ events and band gigs.  These mics can take a beating and the sound quality is very good.  The windscreens are indestructible which is more than I can say for an SM58 windscreen ball.  If you are buying them for a band then I would advise against it.  However, they are great for karaoke and I have used them for band stuff when I know everything will be close to the receiver.  A good value for the money.
