I have owned these microphones for over six years. They are still going strong. I had to return them once for a minor repair of the power cord. I use these microphones indoors and out. I have even used them for 3 outdoor High School Graduations. They actually performed like condenser microphones. I positioned them above the choir outdoors and the voices came through loud and clear. You could even hear the students talking as they were milling around before their performance. For the money, you can't beat them. I use another set of these in an auditorium I manage and they do a great job; better than my corded Shure microphones. Ignore the comment about being kids karaoke microphones, it's just not true. Kid karaoke microphones aren't even in the same family. I have used these for everything from choirs to solos and I haven't received a single complaint. They are user friendly, sturdy enough to endure abuse from small children and rowdy teens and and to top it all off, they sound great. They will get the job done. The microphones are carefully housed in a sturdy metal case you can take anywhere. Don't fear, this is a great choice. I came to the sight to buy another set.

Not professional audio quality.

Overall, I would not recommend this to anyone. It might work for a child's karaoke setup, but nothing where you would expect equipment to perform well and actually function properly.

Overall, I would not recommend this to anyone. It might work for a child's karaoke setup, but nothing where you would expect equipment to perform well and actually function properly.
Four channels in one rack unit? Why not give it a try? I bought this product and strongly recommend against anyone else purchasing it. The features are great, except the product does not work. Channels were overlapping, there was static and hum depending on where I held the microphones, no way to adjust the channel, gain was different on the different channels even when set to the same level on the unit, power supply is an awkward wall wart. Features seem great in the advertising, but this wireless microphone system does not work properly and is in no way professional.
Plastic, not awful build quality, but not built to last. Cannot be mounted in a rack without pulling out the rubber feet that they ship the unit with (they should be shipped in the box for people who won't rack-mount, but shouldn't be standard. This is not professional quality - the wireless channels are fixed and overlap. The audio crackles and cuts in and out.
Good value - four channels in one unit, but it is not guaranteed that every channel will work. Not a professional product.

Comments about VocoPro UHF-5800 4-Microphone Wireless System:

See way above!
VocoPro UHF5800 4-Microphone Wirelss System.
Do yourself a really big favor and save your money to buy something of quality! The system had sever white noise; popping sounds that ramp up and down. When only one microphone was on another channel without a microphone would start receiving and start popping loudly. 3 of the 4 channels gave large amounts of backround noise.

Now, you may think "this guy probably does not know how to correctly adjust the gear." I am an Eletrical Engineer with a Masters Degree, specilizing in wireless and LAN WAN systems. If my Mackie 1640 could not control the issue, well there you are.

I bought the UHF-5800's and its replacement from Musician's Friend. Do yourself another big favor do buy from Musician's Friend, they are great and help to no end! They stand behind everthing they sell! They helped me replace the UHF-5800 with individual systems and I spent the bucks. Totally worth it!!!
Two out of two produced unwanted anomalies right out of the box. Don't waste your time!
See above, enough said.

Comments about VocoPro UHF-5800 4-Microphone Wireless System:

I think these are the best for the money.
I have had these for about 3 years and they have been very reliable and sound great with my Mackie CFX12 / Bose L1 system. I have never had any complaints from my singers and I think these mics are the best buy out there. I've never had any trouble with them.

    Voco Pro 5800

    By Lanny Akers

Comments about VocoPro UHF-5800 4-Microphone Wireless System:

We bought the Voco Pro 5800 system over two years ago for our church's outdoor services even though reviews at the time stated that we would probably end up with a 3 mic system at best. Happy to say that they have held up very well for our use. Sometimes we are out twice a week in the summer months. They are very light and extremely noisy when handling the mics but all 4 are still working. We also picked up a body pack that did not seem to work very well when we first got it but now we have that dialed in pretty well and are getting good volume with no feedback. Our system is up very loud and can be heard for several blocks away in any direction. I would say for what we payed for this system that if it quit working today it was well worth the money. Sorry to hear that most of the reviews that I am seeing today are not very good.

    overpriced and not reliable

Comments about VocoPro UHF-5800 4-Microphone Wireless System:

This mic system may look like a great deal from the fact that it is All-In-One compact but is very disappointing, and develops problems fast.
First of all each mic is a SINGLE RECEIVER type NOT diversity.
There is a lot of crosstalk that pops up randomly when more than one mic is being used. You need somebody standing by the receiver ready to tweak the knobs with a screwdriver at a moment's notice.
I finally stopped using it after one channel completely died 6 months later. I replaced the unit with four individual Nady UHF-4 Handhelds which I highly reccomend.

Comments about VocoPro UHF-5800 4-Microphone Wireless System:

I sing in a gospel quartet, we have been using Shure mic's for about 2 years and decided to go with the 5800, one for the price and two, to see if the battery life would be any better. We are 100% pleased with the performance of this system. Easy to set up and great sound for the money.

    Perfect for small worship venue

    By ccspencer

Comments about VocoPro UHF-5800 4-Microphone Wireless System:

We purchased these in hopes they would help our weekend setup and teardown of our CF Student ministry. Also, while providing clear vocal sounds. We have 3 vocalists, drums, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, keys, and a bass player (everyone once in a while) for our student worship team. These mic's rock! Take 2AA batteries, about a 50ft range from transmitter, no feedback! Recommend to use individual xlr o/p vice the pre-mixed 1/4" output when running to a mixer. Yes, I replaced 3 SM58 wired - snake mic's and couldn't be happier!

    Nice for the Price

I've been running this Vocopro system as a part of my mixed gear setup for weddings and for hosting karaoke shows four nights a week for three years straight. These have been dropped, bounced, slimed, and have had drinks spilled on them. The reciever, even though it's in a rack, that rack gets bounced around alot and everything is holding up great.
As for sonic performance, I've been pleased with the sound and have consistently recieved compliments on the sound my system puts out.
For the price, you really cannot do better. If you only need one mic, then I so go ahead spend the money on a single really good mic. If you need more than one, you can't go wrong here.

On a side note. They make a wireless headset to go with this system. I have them. Those I was not so impressed with. Just didn't sound as good and was more proned to feedback.

    VoCoPro wireless Mikes

    By Henry Matthews

    from Texarkana, Ark

Comments about VocoPro UHF-5800 4-Microphone Wireless System:

I've had this system for about 8 months now and have really been satisfied with the mikes. My sound guy likes them better than the two Shures I have and says they sound better than the Shures. The battery life is forever almost. I get about three to four shows off batteries and that's counting about 3 hours rehearsal before show. I do wish they would give you some indication of a weak battery like a blinking light or something but they don't. When battery goes down, it starts making a funny sound like a helcopter but I can live with that. It's not loud so have learned to recognize as soon as we hear it. For the money, this system cannot be beat in my book.
