Comments about VocoPro UHF-8800 8-Channel Wireless Microphone System:
For eight microphones the price is very good. I am not sure of battery life with other models, but these last about six to eight hours and then they need replaced. They make some bad sounds out of the speakers when the batteries start getting low. Overall, I am happy with the purchase.

Got he 4 channel unite for our church and loved it had no problems what so ever worked great. Then the fcc put the halt on it. So we got the new 8 channel unit with both handheld and body pack transmitters to use for singing as well as speakin and drama. They work very well. I will concur that if you have a happy clapper that smacks the mic when singing it will sound like an extra tom. But I have seen that with SM87, 58 and Beta which I have we just teach the singers to not smack the mics.
You can get drops in signal depending on many variables lighting, dimmers, other electrical equipment etc. But I run them through my antenna distribution systems and have great results.
If they had adjustable frequences it would be the bomb. I would reccomend actually I will be buying another for our road gear real soon.

We use these at my church. Only 6 worked from the time we opened the box. One is completely dead and the other never keeps a good signal to work properly. The others often lose signal and make all sorts of noise. Construction is very cheap and any movement of the hands on the mic while they are on will pick up and come through the speakers. Nice idea to have a 8 mic system, because we really need them, but they just don't work properly.

I recently provided a sound system and mixing for a large church group. They bought this system for themselves for this show. I was the first person to open the box and set the unit up. Over the two days that we used the mics, and the system performed flawlessly. The reciever was set up next to the board, about 80 ft from the performers. There was no buzz, hum, or interference of any kind.I am seriously considering one for myself.

It's a great product but before buying any wireless product need to check your local frequencysfor cellphone tower, radio , or tv otherwise you going to end with some problems with the mic.quality on the mic. It's great for the price!!!!

I had so much doubt about this low price product for a long time. So the low buget, it looks sexy with 8 wireless. The sound guy at my church took this in as a donation and I got to use it. I know now it's not only low quality with tons of feedback, cut-off and hums. At first I thought it's because of the snake, then may be the battery, than may be my mixer ... so on. I walked in between the receiver and the mics and I could hear the switching on-off of the signal. I finally replace all of my monster 100 XLR cables by the 500 series and I can eliminate some of the hums in a few channels. But the funny thing was that the channel on my mixers took their turn to hum. I thought I have a bad channel but then it stops. Other channels started to hum. After hours of trouble shooting, I had to conclude that Vocopro was that cause since I had no issue with wired condenser mics even when I stand in front of the speaker and sing before. Too bad that the we're stuck with the donation. I would have returned it if it's was my purchase. The only way it works is to put it right in front of the choir where there is no obstacles in between the receiver and the mics. Don't be fooled about the freedom of this wireless because the minute you pick a mic up and walk around, signal cut-off is annoyingly noticable even within 20-30'. Don't waste your time as I did.

we bought this set and as soon as received hooked up and 2 of the mics bleed over so only had 6 that worked. tried to just return the 2 but was told you had to return entire set. returned and the 2nd set did the same thing. returned and the 3rd set again had same problem. no hassle as far as the customer service on returns they paid all but you would think after 1 or 2 sets that you could get a complete set to work. I will say the sound quality was pretty good for the 6 that did work. not willing to try another set after 3 bad sets.
