Thing that seem too good to be true, usually are just that. This item is no exception. I spent 8 hours of my life trying to get this thing to work to no avail. #.5 hours with tech support only to find out there was nothing else they could do and would have to have someone else call me back. Which eventually they did 2 days later. After I had already sent it back. And, no I'm not a Moron. I am extremely fluent with computer hardware and software as well and being extremely mechanically inclined. This product and the software/firmware need completely re-engineered. I give them credit it's GREAT idea at a GREAT price. I Do however think that they should have done more quality control and testing before bringing this to market. I never got it to print one disk. My time and Life is worth more that this. If I spend this much on a piece of equipment I expect to work as advertised straight out of the box! NO BS REQUIRED. This product unfortunately does not. I swapped for a duplication tower and a single printer. Less moving parts to break and duplication does not affect printing and vice versa. I can actually duplicate more CD's with the two seperate units. Just my $.02. I just don't want to see anyone else go through what I did.
I am a man of few words. They say silence is golden, but it would no longer be if I do not speak up for a product that worked equally as hard as I did. It's an equal partner in my success story.
Haven't had any issues with the product. Worked out of the box. What I like the most is I can get the ink from anywhere. Even local stores. Been seeing about 200 disc per set of ink.The software was very easy to use. I love the little robot that moves the discs. Its quick and neat to watch. So far I have printed 1000 cds without a hiccup. Way to go ;-)
When I can get it to work properly, this thing is great. Unfortunately, the ink doesn't always work right away (lines/dots, or one color missing), I've had it burn long runs of bad discs for no apparent reason (on Taiyo Yuden DVD Media) and the printing can be mediocre at times. Like I said, it would be MORE than worth it's cost if it would just work! It's just been very unreliable so far. Also, the full high-yield color ink cartridge lasts about 50 discs with 4-color full-face printing. Which isn't bad, but isn't good either.
