DJ'd a house party with one of these speakers and a 100w radio shack amp. They soud great!
I brought one of these speakers two weeks ago.I play in resturants and privare parties and this speaker works perfect for what I do which is vocals and guitar. I run it through my phonic powerpod 620 and the vocals are crystal clear . On the guitar I use a Tapco mix 60 compact mixer going through the line in as a front end and turn the treble and mid right down and leave a bit of the bass up.Every time I do a gig the crowd responds really well which always results in further bookings.I use to use a Maplins pro Sound 10 inch PA speaker but this Yamaha S12e simply blows it away with the sound quality.David
They work very well, I have a 500 watt Mixer and these definitely do the trick. Great sound for vocals and good for anything you play out of your mixing board. For the money, I think this is awesome deal.I own 2.
I got a pair of these in a PA package a small while back, and so far I've had only one minor problem with them: they have fairly horrendous low-end response. Mid-range and highs are replicated beautifully, and even some mid-bass will still sound good. All-in-all, my advice is to use these as vocal monitors only unless you have some subs to go with them.
I own a pair and I love them! I use them for vocals and acoustic guitar. Very clear with no distortion. They are lightweight but built well. Very attractive. Only 1/4" connections.
Great sounding little speakers, but even in small clubs at moderate volume, it took less than 30 gigs to blow the horn drivers.
