These mics will fail on you. The mount system allows the diaphragm to vibrate too much. All of Mine failed twice in less than 12 uses. Theree were no stick strikes involved. AKG will attempt to claim you abused them and deny the warranty claim.

These mics are great! The only reason I didn't give a 10 for features is because the C418's could use a little more maneuverablity in the neck. But it's good enough. After using some cheap AT mics on my toms, I put these puppies on them and it makes all the difference in your recordings. The D112 is a heavy hitter too. Buy it, you'll like it.

Great mic set! I use them all the time! Don't pass up these mics, they are the best!
