This is a great bass for a beginner. I got it as a beginner and its stuck with me for a long time. Good action, well spaced frets and it looks sweet. It always looks good in photos because of its wicked style. I would only advise that you put different pickups on it, I would suggest EMG's because the ones it comes with are not the best.

I was amazed at the quality of the sound as soon as I plugged it up. Awesome body style and so much to offer to someone who's in or thinking about joining a band. Jazz, rock, heavy metal, I enjoyed playing these genres with my bass. It's a great buy for a serious player who is into rock and metal, or for curious players who are looking for a great sound.

WOW!!! This bass is by far the perfect bass. It may not be my favorite thing to look at. It seems a bit over the top. But when I played it, I was blown away. The neck on it is thin and it is very easy to move around on the fret board. I must say that my review is based soley off of comfort level as I played it without an amp, and I'm curious about how it sounds. I was able to play fast, simple punk stuff, more complex metal riffs and then bluesy stuff without feeling out of place or uncomfortable in different styles. I will most likely be picking one up as soon as money permits me to.

This bass is just beautiful. In addition to the kickin look, the sound of this thing is simply awesome. While I admit that the look of it was what attracted me, the quality of this bass surpasses my expectation. So ignore people who try to tell you Fender is better...they're just jealous.
