It's not too bad

I bought this because I play a whole lot of songs with chorus. It does the trick but tends to be a bit too thin for my liking. I've solved this by turning up the depth on the pedal to almost max. It's a great pedal and does the trick, but wished I shopped around more to get a sound more to my liking.

This pedal color's your tone and the tone knob doesnt really help and it sounds kind of generic or digital with my tube screamer so i got rid of mine.

For the price, i got mine used, its not bad but you could save your money now and get a better pedal later, i would reccoment the digitech chorus factory; it has 7 or so different choruses on it including 2 boss pedals, 1 flanger and a TC Chorus/Flange setting! and if you think all digitech pedals are bad, think again.

Overall, i wouldn't reccomend this to someone who plays 2-5 gigs a month, but if your just starting out or still learning then i say go for it.. To the untrained ear, its not bad ;)

I've played many chorus pedals but none have given me the great sound that the CH-1 has. I was amazed to hear that not only did it give me the creamy guitar tone I constantly hound after, but it thickend my sound up as well. This is deffinently the pedal I would recomend if your wanting to give your guitar that lush tone.

When I use a chorus, I use it very subtly, just to add atmospherics and color, usually with the speed all the way down but with a really deep sweep, and this pedal doesn't deliver the goods. It sounds good on extreme settings, but since that's not my cup of tea... Also, it's not as solid as some other boss pedals I've used. It feels like it's made of tin. Buy an ehx, it's cheaper and it's analog (analog = better.)

I'm a lap steel player. Every guitarist that I've ever known has a chorus pedal and I've tried them all on my lap for fun. When I decided to get a chorus device for myself I went to every store in town and tried almost every chorus pedal I could find. I found one of these CH-1's that blew each one away in the sound department. It sounded much better than brand new CH-1's for some odd reason. I don't use it often, but there are a lot of neat warbly sounds I like. One of my favorite tricks is setting the rate and depth to zero and setting the eq to about 1/3 to mellow out my lap's tone. Nothing bad to say about this pedal. I'm glad I own it.
