You can FEEL the VIBE magic

The Cool can vibe consists of an intensity, speed and mix control. The Mix control is somewhat ambiguous, but the speed and intensity allow the user to dial up some real warmth and wave modulation into the signal. This vibe actual works and you can hear the various textures. I found it was quiet and had no pulses or hums, like other American made vibes. But this product is made in China, like all the Cool Cats. I use it with the Fab Echo, which really opens up the sound. I cannot get over the sound quality and cost ratio. The EHX Wiggler is almost 4 times the cost and it drains the tone from the rig and emits noise and pulse. The CC Vibe actually produces an aural wash that is effective. Use a power supply with the pedal. And place the pedal towards after a fuzz or overdrive, but in front of an echo or delay (Oh, remember the fab echo can be modded to be an inexpensive delay box). The mint green Vibe is pure accoustic vibratory extasy when coupled to a tube amp. I've packed the Wiggler back into it's dirty soiled box, I'll just keep it as a collectable, since it doesn't have the responsiveness of the Cool Cat. I don't know why American made products can't have this type of warmth and response? All the Danelectro CC's are effective, esspecially the Transparent OD, Fuzz and Vibe for psychodelic rock. The products do not alter the tone of the guitar and amp, such as the EHX products do. They are cost effective, and have metal enclosures. The only test left will be time? Will they last 10 to 29 years (like my 1980 MXR Dynacomp and Boss DS-1), who knows. But I'm impressed with the sounds of this Vibe, it is far more sound worthy than the Wiggler. Get it while it's 59 dollars, because I'm sure Mr. Inflation is watching and waiting to turn up the heat and raise the price. I can FEEL it.

Identical to the Uni-Vibe

I must say that I was skeptical when I asked to try this one out at my local music store. Danelectro stuff always seems to be hit or miss. Turns out this one's a bullseye! I have never heard something sound this good for such a small amount of money. This thing sounds nearly identical to the original Uni-Vibe. It even has a light diode circuit just like the original. Did I mention it is completely true bypass? It is a tad louder than my other pedals, and it takes about 2 seconds to get going, but man does it sound accurate. Just play that first arpeggiated chord from the beginning of Pink Floyd's "Breathe" and you'll see what I mean. Put it in front of a fuzz, and you're on your way to Hendrixville. The only possible complaints are the "start-up time" and volume boost. Also, the "mix" knob is confusing and doesn't see to do a whole lot. Overall though, it sounds just as good as the original for a small fraction of the price.

Good pedal, but it is a bit loud

The Vibe pedal is good, but it is a really loud pedal in my effects chain. I play it third from the end of a nine pedal chain: Digitech Tuner, Wah, Digitech Rock Distortion, DanElectro Transparent OD, DanElectro Echo, Digitech Delay, DanElectro Vibe, DanElectro Tremelo, Boss Loop Station, Then to a Krank "Krankenstein" head and cab. I have to turn the Mix down pretty low, otherwise the Vibe shoots the signal through the roof when it is turned on. I bought the pedal in a 3 pack. Even with this little issue the pedal sounds really good and is worth the money spent. I would suggest this pedal to a friend.

Nice sounding pedal better than my Danelectro Chicken Salad vibrato pedal, I believe. Sturdy built but you can't use a 9 volt battery it's not advise you will eat up immediately. You need adapter. Foot Switch makes a loud noise and there's a slight delay. Plus your guitar volume noticeably rises, but it's ok for me. If you open up bottom plate to take a look make sure you don't tight screws to tight you will break jack inputs - I did which I fixed myself. It's a chorus it says in booklet but to me a vibrato pedal. It sounds great! Take care of it.

I couldn't wait to try the new Cool Cat line. I played this once in a local store and had to have it. It gives you a wide range of color for your sound. It is a great addition to my pedal board. Made of metal with a real good switch. check these out.
