She's so heavy.

More intense than other vintage pickups, the high notes are fatter and the lows have more kick. You can install the Heavy Blues in all 3 pickup positions; but a Blues in the neck, a Vintage in the middle, and a Heavy Blues in the bridge spot create a neat combination of warm neck, fat bridge, and bright 2- and 4-notch position sounds.

Harsh Sounding

Too biting and harsh sounding when used in the bridge of an 87 Strat Plus w/ maple neck through the lead channel of a Boogie F50. I like the vintage appearance and I have had good luck with the other VV models, so I might give the VV Solo or the new VV Solo Pro a shot in the bridge position.

After putting a VV Blues in one strat, I decided to go with a Heavy Blues in the neck and regular VV blues in the center. The results were nothing short of amazing. Clear, chunky, crisp, throaty--especially through a tube amp--you got strat? You need this!

These pickups are something to look into if you are searching for high-output, noise-free, Stratocaster replacements. they sound like Texas Specials, sans noise. actually, they might sound better, because they have a more focused, and compressed sound. (I didn't make the last part up, I have a set of Fender Texas Specials.)

I got this pickup for the neck in my strat. It ROCKS!!! I use this pickup way more than the other 2 I put in. (DiMarzio H3 in the middle, and Seymour Duncan JB jr. in the bridge.) The only thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't pick up the harmonics over the 5th fret very well, but other than that there are no complaints. Chords sound really full and beautiful on it. If you want a really fat warm tone then I would highly recommend this pickup. It's pretty cheap, too!
