Set it and forget it (per gig that is)

First of all, I love the sound this pedal gives my bass, each "pedal within a pedal" has unique parameters that allow me to get exactly the sound I'm looking for, or even surprise me with a totally new sound. The pedal is very musical. However, you can rule out changing the settings mid gig. It's too much of a hassle. The concentric knobs are sleek, however sometimes they stick together making dialing in tedious. I really liked the flange and I especially liked the CE-5 model (it allows you to control the amount of effect on your lows and highs independently!! Overall this is a very musical pedal (even for Bass!), however, it is tedious to tinker with in live situations.

I've had the Digitech CF-7 for almost a year now. Never had any functional problems at all. I'm heavy footed on pedals - and this one takes the punishment. Very well built. Great sounds; and there's plenty to choose from. If you can't dial in what you're looking for with this one...well buy a bigger pedalboard - you're gonna need a lot of space for other chorus pedals. HIGHLY RECOMMEND getting a 9V power supply (if you don't have on already). The CF-7 is a "juicer." Even the best 9V's don't last long. And if you forget to unplug when you're done...fogetaboutit. Your battery WILL be dead the next day (if not in a few hours). Small, slipt-level knobs and letters can be a little tough to read and adjust in dim light or on-stage. On the whole, a great pedal with tons of features. Unbelievable VALUE.

Niiiiiice Chorus.

Who could ask for more. 7 chorus' in one, plus 2 flangers. The Small Clone model is just about spot on, same with the Boss models. It's great to be able to switch out from a thick heavily modulated sweep to a light chorus for distortion without having to change pedals or purchase several. Not to mention the TC and Voodoo Labs chorus' are EXPENSIVE. Thanks Digitech! Only thing that would make it better is TRUE BYPASS! I'll have it modded eventually.

I have a lot of chorus pedals and am a freak for that slowly chorused guitar sound. I have had this pedal for a while and love it. It has lots of great sounds in it and while not as sweet as the originals, you cannot beat the bang for buck here. That being said, there are minor issues that may be major to you. Some of the models are better than others. I just do not see the point of having two Boss chorus sounds when just a CE-1 would have been better. The Fulltone Choralflange is disappointing. But the others are all very nice, and it is great to be able to have four excellent and different chorus sounds. This is better as a studio tool because the sweet spots on the different models require knob twiddling that is tough on stage even with the optional footswitch. I use a One Spot power adaptor without any issues, though as digital, it is a power hog. It isn't perfect, but it stays on my pedal board even though I have lots of chorus options. 'Nuff said.

This isn't a bad chorus pedal at all. I mean, not bad AT ALL. Typically, I don't go for pedals like these. I usually prefer pedals that do just one thing, not many, but chorus was the last effect I needed and since I won't be purchasing any more pedals for quite awhile, I decided to try a pedal that had some options... digital pedals will never have that analogue warmth, but this pedal surprised me bigtime. It sounds fantastic. You have to tweak it a little of course, and I'm ALWAYS using at least one other effect with it (reverb and/or distortion). I've got a modest guitar: an Ibanez SA Series and a Peavey Classic 30 valve amp and this pedal sounds great through 'em (in the middle of a large chain, to boot). All modulation devices make noise, including this one, but NOWHERE near as much noise, as say, an Electric Mistress (another awesome pedal), but this one has 5 chorus effects and 2 flangers to select from and each of those has 6 control pots to shape the sound. Add a bit of reverb and it's quite warm sounding. Honestly, I'm not much on Digitech's multi-effects stuff, but their single effect pedals sound good, at least this one does... It's got a permanent spot on my pedalboard. :)
