I got this package a year ago for my birthday. This was my first guitar. For a beginner, it's a pretty good guitar. The open coil humbuckers produce a lot of buzzing, but it can still be made to sound great. The amp is terrible though...it picks up radio signals. The cable fell apart too. The strap was honestly just plain uncomfortable. The tuner is pretty cheap. However, like I said before, this guitar is amazing. The finish is pretty bright for an SG, but it still looks decent. It has ok sustain for a bolt-on neck. It actually sounds pretty good hooked up to the amp if you run it through a Digitech DF-7 distortion pedal. If you're looking for a guitar that sounds great clean though, this isn't it. I wasn't impressed with the amp and accessories, but for a beginner package this is just plain great. The price is amazing. I'll be upgrading to a Gibson Les Paul Studio Faded soon, but for the price, you can't beat this guitar!

I bought the guitar set about 9 months ago and I'm quite pleased with my purchase. I bought the ebony guitar and its a majestic beauty. It sounds great and came with a great action, I didn't have to adjust anything. The stock strings sucked but I left them on until they broke. It sounds way better with some decent strings. The included headphones weren't that great and broke quite quickly. The amp is starting to show some signs of use but it still got some life left in it. Overall is a great product and I recommend it to anyone getting into music.

I have owned this combo for about 6 months now and I am SO glad I bought it! The amp is a great little practice amp with a clean sound. I have a digitech RP-90 effects processor and it sounds awesome through the amp. The guitar is the star of the show of course. I have owned more than 10 guitars in my life and this one ranks up there with the best of them. It sounds and plays as good or better than $1000 Gibsons I have owned!! BOTTOM LINE Buy this pack you WILL NOT regret it!

Just from reading all of you other guy's reviews, I would say that the guitar is really good, but the amp, cable, tuner, and gig bag suck. So ya it may seem like a good deal but for a little higher price you could get quality stuff all around, seeing as you will probably upgrade the amp, cable, tuner, and gig bag anyway because the ones included suck.

This guitar is amazing. The amp is not so great. In my opinion this guitar works best with marshall amps. The guitar also works well with my effects (digitech grunge distortion and wah wah pedal). The cable was kinda suckish and the tuner was suckish too. I would recommind this guitar.
