I am quite satisfied with this little machine. it does what it says. personally I am a fan of the red plastic casing, it feels quite sturdy. the card is a bit small, you will either need to buy a new one or transfer songs to your computer frequently. long story short, this is a good (cheap) device for the "just starting out" small band or solo artist who wants the power of multi-track recording with out paying for more expensive alternatives.

I am only 12 years old and I got this to record with my band. It is easy to use and if you set it up with a few effects and mics you got an awesome recording package. I recommend this to any beginning or amateur musician.

I've loved the idea of haveing a nice digital recorder But with the fostex I was put off of buying one due to the high price of memory cards. Now however, you can pick up a 2 gig card for under 80$ delivered. That'll give you enough time to record most of a demo or low cost C.D. This unit isn't really enough for gear junkies, but it's a great alternative for the home recording artist on a tight budget. You will need a lower end processor as the onboard effects are garbage. All in all it's worth the price and a handy gadget to have around.

This machine is a great piece of equipment for the "just starting out" crowd. You can record the whole band, mix it down and have a great sounding demo to hand out at shows and the like. Aside from short recording with the supplied card (easily remedied by getting a bigger one), I have not had a problem with this. It does everything it advertised and more.
