I was looking for my first real mic to use with keyboard. So the remote operation is not used by me. I checked 3: starting from other, even cheaper brands and replacing at last on GM. What I disliked in others was usually too sharp sound. GM-15 gave me deep reach sound with details. I am not using transmitter operation but I found it working. Only my impression is that when using remote sound gets softer than on a cable. But with cable I am getting all details wonderfull- this mic has something magic in sound. I am making recordings and they are OK. Also the making is nice - not so bulky. So I still can see my amps when recording:) (It is a point!). I like GM for this mic. The only neg is the same as already pointed - battery doesn't match its place. But it may be rectified in 5 minutes. But this is good sounding and good looking mic.

Not that great of a mic. Basic, not great features. I bought two and one broke within a month. For the price their ok, but I don't recommend them...

If your the Rolling Stones, you're not going to be using these in your shows. These are a nice way for a single performer to use in very small gigs. They are adequate, but don't expect these mics to sound like an AKG or Shure.

I got this mic because I figured I couldn't go wrong with at that price. I'm a sax player who does a one man band gig with my laptop computer. On sometimes someone wants to sing a song or make an announcement when I'm doing a private party. I had a friend of mine who is a singer try it out. We both like the sound. Just last night a local girl who sings broadway wanted to sing a song. She sounded great on that $$$ mic. My buddy told me to order him one.

I was looking for a microphone and found this in one of my catalogs. It included a microphone, 15' XLR to 1/4" cable, wireless reciever and transmitter, and carrying case. I figured for the price, I might as well give it a shot. Within a week, I had it and I was very satisfied. THE PROS: The microphone feels, looks and sounds great. The carrying case is nice. The wireless system has a great range of 100'. It comes with a XLR to 1/4" cable in case your wireless system breaks down. And did I mention the price? THE CONS: Everything that comes in this package only works on the microphone. You can't plug in the cable or the wireless into another microphone. There's a slight buzzing noise (It might just be my amp, but I'm not sure). It runs on batteries (2 AAs). The craftsmanship isn't all that it's cracked up to be. Me and my dad thought the microphone was no good until we got inside the battery well. It was too long, so we had to get some needlenose pliers to bend down the metal so the battery would reach each pole. But afterwards, it was just fine. That just about sums it up. If you're loaded with cash, I'd go with some Shure equipment. But if you're the budget rocker like me, don't hesitate to get the Gem Sound GM-15 Wireless/Wired Microphone and Receiver.
