Natural Natural, Back Natural, Headstock Natural, Close Angle Natural, Body Closeup Ice Tea Burst

An orchestra-size guitar with vintage F-30 body style, a solid red spruce top, and solid mahogany back and sides, the Guild CO-2 acoustic features the patent pending Guild® Graphite Neck Block System combined with traditional building techniques for exceptional tone, playability, and longevity. A bound ebony fingerboard, ebony bridge, abalone dot inlays, and ivoroid body binding underscore the Contemporary Series' purpose: To satisfy a market seeking an alternative to high-priced acoustics, with a better price point and a more "woody" tone; also to satisfy players who want a road-worthy guitar without compromising sound and playability.

The modern Guild Neck Block System is designed for more sustain and better clarity, qualities strengthened even further by a bone nut and saddle. The pure, rich tone of all solid woods will only improve with age, thanks to a thin lacquer finish that allows the wood to age naturally, while still providing the needed protection to make the Guild CO-2 guitar road-worthy.

My Favorite.

This is my favorite of all my guitars, which include a Gibson J200, Martin D-16,& Guild 12-string. The CO-2 has a slightly wider ebony fingerboard which I like, as a fingerpicker. I think the quality is right at the top. It is finished perfectly, great warm tone. I don't miss the pick guard as I never play with a pick. The size is perfect to keep handy at home for those moments. It is a beautiful instrument.

Sleeper

This guitar is a real sleeper. I bought it to better play Miss. John Hurt's music, and completely fell in love with it. I like the slightly wider neck at the nut. I did have the action lowered, which has made it perfect. I also have a Gibson SJ-200, and I do believe this is a nicer guitar. The finish and workmanship are immaculate. The fingerboard is ebony, not rosewood. Nicely understated, but very beautiful. It is a good, convenient size to sit around and play, and play, and play.

Satisfied and Tickled Too...

I had been playing a Martin D-16R for some time, and then started getting into finger style. The D was a struggle to hold in my lap, and the tone wasn't exactly what I was looking for. I researched Guild and became interested, tried a comparable model at a local shop, and was hooked. I have had this one for just a few days, and am already in love with it. A superb instrument at a very competitive price. Note that it comes without a pick guard. I rarely use a pick, and still have the Martin for that. Can't wait to get home tonight and get together with my new honey.
