I've had this bass over a year now, and it is still top dog in my collection. The tone is superb. Great low end, really sweet high end. Build quality is stunning. Does need a little care for set up, but thats no problem. The tone control is reasonably flexible. All in all a stunning bass. The only bad point is that the first set of flats i put on it weren't quite short enough, and the E string had to be unwound a bit at the top to fit. Still any criticisms of this bass are only picky. Overall good quality and exceptional value for money.

I tested the reggie hamilton bass before buying this bass. This bass is by far, a great deal for the price. You can't beat the deal- I use it at all my gigs and it sounds amazing. Those reviews below are weird, maybe they should just dial in their sound right.

I love my Ibanez Artcore agb140 bass. I gig with it often (every other weekend). I find it to be very reliable. It holds tune, it has a strong 3 piece mahogany and maple set neck, which I prefer to the bolt ons. It is semihollow ,which means there is a solid piece of ash down the middle of the guitar which gives it great sustain. It has no wolf frets like a very popular brand out there almost always has. I was very suprized to see some bad reviews in this forum now . I wonder if those bad reviewers are newbs who don't know how to do a proper setup/bridge and neck adjustment. when I bought mine it was nothing but good. Even on some of the ultra bass geek websites this bass is complimented on its great quality for the money.

The pick up is ok, a decent muddbucker, but I switched mine out for a hammon enginering Dark Star pickup. It was a little pricey, but with the pickup upgrade my bass is now really sweet. I feel for most people this bass is a good one even without the upgrade that I made.

Horrible Buy...

I got this bass about a year ago and the first week I bought it, it broke right before a gig. This bass most likely the worst bass you can get out there for this price... I would rather use 100 or 200 more bucks on something better like a schecter stileto or even get the Fender standard bass which is the same price range. I even use this bass with my Ampeg and the sound... isn't what I like. The semi-hollow basses are not worth anything... The tone isn't very natural. The neck is glued on... It's practicly the bass that I don't like. Since that I said all the bad stuff I will say one good thing about this bass. First of all the body is very light, but the bass does have a tiny neck dive, but it is nothing to worry about. Just don't even get this bass... Press backspace on your keyboard NOW!
