Overall a good guitar. I bought this guitar three years ago to replace my Squire bullet strat when I joined my band. The pickups are not speical, but the rest of the guitar is good. A good beginner to intermidiate guitar or a good guitar for a garage band guitarist.

I own one of these guitars. I got it during the Christmas season a couple of years ago. Its been to hell and back and has lasted through it. The pickups aren't anything special but they are humbuckers, and thats deffinitely good. If you're a new guitar player on a budget. This guitar is a great buy.

What strikes me most is the looks of this- it's like a combination of SG and LP- I was amazed as I tried one out of the store- the guitar sounds very natural. As I tried legato playing, harmonics ring-out right through! It has a very nice sustain! - I think this is due to the fixed bridge design, also the headstock is angled nicely putting an ample amount of pressure on the nut which gives the strings more resonance and sustain! This has that thick-hot tone we always appreciate on the SGs and LPs. Budget wise it's a knock out. After trying one out for 20mins. I did myself a favor and I bought one!

If the return to simplicity is in your future, Ibanez GAX guitars offer no frills, raw rock blunt force. two humbuckers, a 3-way switch and double cutaway bodies at the most simple of prices. Overall not a bad guitar if your a beginner to rock.

I have a friend that owns the guitar, The guitar can't have the volume all the way up, especially with distortion, the feedback is crazy, even while you're play the feedback almost over powers your playing, so the volume have to be down to about 2 to even get a good sound out of it, It really isn't that big of a guitar, so if you're into small things, you're good. But over all it's just an average guitar..
