The Ibanez CF7 Tone-Lok stompbox is highly versatile, capable of producing vintage chorus, flange, and modern modulation guitar effects, everything from shimmering soundscapes to jet plane whooshes. A Krazy switch lets you choose between normal and whack'd modes.

On the outside, Tone-Lok effects are equipped with the Ibanez exclusive set and forget Push-Lok rotary pots. Push the knobs down and your tone settings lock securely inside the case—no more lost settings or broken knobs.

On the inside, Tone-Lok pedals feature hi-fidelity components carefully tweaked with the constant input from a new generation of Ibanez players. And all this great stuff comes encased in cool looking, road-tough metal boxes at prices the working player can afford.

Gets the job done

I am not a big fan of modulation effects all I need are the basic effects. The basic effects are solid and surprisingly, not too watered down, although compared to a market standard, like boss, these effects don't stand a chance. The "Krazy" mode is pure gimmickry. It is not necessarily a unique feature to this particular box. If you are looking for something more in your chorus or flange pedal, save your money for something better.

I'm very impressed with this pedal. Even though it looks a little goofy with krazy and wackd writen on it that makes everyone in the room look at you like you're twelve, it does make great effects. Wouldn't call it korn, more like rage against the machine stuff. Great toy for one of a kind sounds, but not a main stay of the board, more a toy for when you're recording at home. Highly recommended if you record at home and like unique effects.

It's nothing special, like the rest of this series

I've owned two different Ibanez CF7s over the last 6 or so years. Quality-wise, they're alright but no comparison to Boss or Digitech. I did eventually have a problem with it not responding correctly when switching on and off. I recently purchased another solely for the "ring modulator" emulation that this pedal can make when all knobs are turned up on the Wack'd setting. It makes great noise (which is what I use it for), but for practical chorus and flange effects it's simply weak compared to it's similarly priced contemporaries (Boss and Digitech). So if you want something for experimenting give it a shot but don't expect this to be your permanent touring piece for chorus/flange effects in a mainstream band, it just won't cut it.

What a Sound!

If you are looking for an incredibly rich sounding chorus pedal, this one is it! This pedal is meant to be run in stereo. Mono is ok but if you really want to hear what the pedal can do for your sound, you got to use it in stereo. I've been playing for a long time and have tried them all. Once in a while you find a pedal that's inexpensive and at the same time absolutely kills! This is one of those pedals. Remember, STEREO is the key! I have never been a big fan of the flanger sound so I don't use that aspect of the pedal. Oh yeah, the "wacked" sound thing...that ain't making it either...stick to the Chorus Sound.

Hidden Vibrato Setting

The Ibanez CF-7 is a great pedal for a small budget. I happened to find a cool vibrato setting that you can achieve by setting all of the knobs to 50% and putting the switches on chorus/wack'd. You can adjust the width of the vibrato by tweaking the delay time knob.
