It really depends what you are looking for. the Block logo Phase 90 has a very powerful pronounced sweep. This has a suttle sweep. Very Van Halen like. I prefer this one. If you want both sounds I recomend the EVH phaser. This is the best one for me. You have to try both to know what you want.

Not much to say except I love this phaser. It blows my old Ibanez phaser out of the water. Very rich and smooth sounding, very musical. It can be used clean or crunchy with outstanding tone either way. Not much to it, one knob for speed control is all you need. Buy one before they quit making them again.

I just got this pedal today and it is great! It has that sought after script phase 90 sound (ala van halen) with the advantage of having an LED indicator and adapter input jack for a 9V power souce. It only has the one knob for speed, but I find that's all this pedal needs, as it adds this amazing subtle kick to your playing. I'll be playing with this thing on 24/7 now. It's rock solid, easy to figure out, and looks so vintage! I'm not only very pleased with this pedal...Buy this pedal!

Our trailer was broken into and the thieves swiped my pedal board. I used to have the standard Phase 90, but decided to spend a little more & upgrade to the Custom Shop Script Phase 90. That was the best change up that I could have done!

The Custom Shop Script Phase 90 exudes the warmth of the classic 70's phaser tone. I couple this with my main axe, an American Fender Tele through a '94 Blues Deluxe, & I get that great Waylon Jennings tone that made the Outlaw era great.

I don't know if it's because this is handwired, or if they keep more the 70's specs, but put the Script & standard Phase 90 side by side & there is no competition. The Script has a smooth warmth that just makes your sound sing.

If you're going to buy a Phase 90, but the Script w/ LED (the '73 Custom Shop Phase 90 is not geared for an external power supply). This pedal is what made the great's legends.

i have this pedal and feel it is a delight to work with. the pedal gives you a very distinct sound and extrememly easy to use and incorporate into your board or fx chain. i would recommend this pedal for anyone at any level of playing.
