For the price it is hard to beat..I wouldnt scream in the thing but it is a useful tool to add to the Mic locker.. When I look at all this cheap stuff that is pretty good that I have bought over the years.. I could have had 1 Telefunken.

Great single mic for bluegrass

My four piece acoustic band has been using this mic alone for about five years. The response is fabulous, voices are warm and clear, and instruments quite crisp with no distortion. My banjo is picked up clearly from 5 feet away! It's durable enough for a bluegrass band on the road.

I bought this with the intention of replacing the use of my tube warmer(no brand name mentioned) and a simple SM 58 being used. After that I would use plug in on my computer to manipulate the sound and texture even more. The Nady is an excellent choice if you know what you are doing. It is a great upgrade with a very responsive and warm sound. I still compress it afterwards but have a wonderful file to work with. I would not use this live, or mic an instrument w/it, for that I would stick to a SM58. Home studio users or those with studios on a budget this is a terrific in my view.

I had four of these shipped to me, and all four were bad, one after another. All of them had wrinkles in the diaphrams, causing some very bad frequency responses (one had a 13 dB boost at 1.3 K!). One had a broken power switch out of the box. One had a broken pattern selector switch. Overall poor quality. Would not recommend this mic to any studio based on my experience with these mics and the company, when dealt with directly.
