The Parkwood PW340FM Jumbo Acoustic Guitar has a solid Sitka spruce top with solid flamed maple back and sides for a stunning appearance and powerful, articulate sound. Braces are hand scalloped and cosmetic appointments are elegant. The PM340FM is finished in an ultra thin "open pore" finish that lets the sound come through loud and clear.

Whether you've been playing for years, or are looking to upgrade to your first high-quality instrument, Parkwood is your only choice for solid woods, expert build, exceptional playability and real tone at an extraordinary price.

JUMBO
Bigger than a dreadnought, the jumbo offers the loudest volume and biggest bass response. The sound is clear with a booming yet tight bass. A great stage guitar as its bigger body emphasizes more projection.

OPEN PORE FINISH
This finish is applied in several layers that allow the open pores of the wood to be felt and to also allow the wood to breathe and vibrate at its best. You can actually feel the wood grain, like it was a raw unfinished piece of wood. The tone of an open pore finish is loud, alive and natural.

TOP - Sitka Spruce (Picea sitchensis)
Sitka Spruce comes from the Pacific Northwest and today is the most commonly used wood for guitar tops. Sitka is a bit stronger and stiffer than other spruces. Its strength and toughness make it well suited for steel string guitars.

BACK & SIDES - Flamed Maple (Acer saccharum-Hard Maple)
Maple is a strong, stiff wood for back and sides. It's been the traditional tonewood for many stringed instruments, for over three hundred years. Maple comes in several patterns, named flame, curly, and birdseye. Flamed maple is usually European, extremely dense and highly reflective, producing a loud, projective, and sustained sound.

I came upon this guitar in Tenn. a couple of years ago. Liked the look. Loved the sound. I wasn't looking for a new guitar at the time but I was intrigued by it, so I got them to hold it for me and did some research. The only one I could find on the web was in Ger. Cort had an international site with some information about their products, but listed only foreign distributors. That sealed the deal. If it's rare and undervalued, buy it. I have been completely delighted with this instrument. I prefer a lower action so I had it done. Otherwise, this guitar is perfect. It is also readily available. Get one. Its a great guitar at a great price.

I bought one of these yesterday and it plays amazingly. The only problem I had with it was that the action was too low and there was a pretty noticeable buzz on the high E string from frets 3 through 9. I made a slight adjustment to the truss rod and it's been great since. The craftsmanship of this guitar is amazing and I would recommend it to anyone who can afford it.
