broke it

I played this bass at a friend's house. I play guitar, but there were 2 other guitarists there, so I picked this bass up off its hanger.

I was jamming some Jesus-Lizardish basslines, and the E-string nut broke, and the string could not stay in its saddle. So I sheepishly popped the string back and hanged it back up.

It sounded cool through my distortion and fuzz pedals, while it lasted.

This is a great guitar for the price. The pickups are not that good but for the price you can't really complain. The build quality is much better than expected. The overall fit & finish rivals guitars costing $300 to $400.

This is a truly amazing bass for an amazing price. You cannot get a better 5 string for the price. I give it a 10 overall and a 10 on everything else. The only thing I'd like is active/ passive pickups but you would pay much more for a 5 string that has those. BUY THIS BASS ITS AMAZING

Great bass for the money

This was my first bass, which I bought about six months ago. Since then, I have been looking at other basses for quite a while and, despite available funds for something a lot more expensive, I've seen no reason to buy another bass. The pickups already sound good with the proper amp and EQ, and will sound even better when I put some DiMarzios in the P-position. The metallic blue, which I got, looks great and sparkles in the light, and does not actually have the name printed on the body. The way this bass really shines, though, is the neck. The profile is perfect, and the string spacing is nice and tight. The only 5-ers I've played that have come close to being this comfortable have been Ibanez's at five times the price.

First of all, it's pretty cheap so I didn't have any high expectations going into it, but it turned out to be a pritty nice practice bass (which was it's main purpose). I primarily play acoustic guitar, and I just wanted a 5-string to play through my little epiphone 10w, and restimulate my interest in the bass before buying a Fender Jazz. The nut broke at the B string, but it didn't turn out to be a big deal because the B string is useless. All in all, a good value for a very mediocre bass.
