I bought a Sabine tuner about 20 years ago and it worked well. I bought this Sabine AX2000 Contact Auto tuner so I could tune my several acoustic and electric instruments. It has worked very well on all of them.

At first I was a little frustrated with this tuner. I couldn't get it to hold a note for very long. I contacted Sabine's customer service through e-mail. They responded very quickly (less than two hours) and gave me some very helpful tips. All I had to do was experiment with the positioning of the tuner on the body of the guitar until I found a place that picked up the note better. That simple adjustment was all it needed. It's been a year now since I bought it, and I have never had any problems with it at all. In fact, I've shown it to three friends of mine, and all three of them went out and bought one too! I don't think I will ever go back to other tuners. This is truly the best tuner on the market and well worth the price.

Mine's eight y/o now and it's still going stong. The back WILL lose it's stickum after a while but a quick rub w/denatured alcohol (not soap & water was originally recommended) brings it back to life. I love they way it automatically turns off after a few minutes. Works great in noisy environments. Doesn't harm the finish at all. Super unit.

I've used this tuner for 10 years and own 3 of them. They even work on my daughter's cello and on electrics not plugged in yet. The company has recently returned to the original blue backing which sticks better than the gray of recent years. Customer service is terrific!

I love this tuner! It is great if you play alot of live performances. So easy to step out of the mic and tune quickly. I highly recommend it!
