I purchased this guitar today and I haven't been able to put it down. I have been playing bass for 3 years, and I decided to take a whack at guitar also. I went to my local guitar shop in Lexington Kentucky and bought it. It sounds amazing, the tone is unbelievable. the guitar has a nice deep, mellow, soothing sound that is terrific...overall a great guitar for the price

Best Kept Guitar Secret!!

At 49 years old, I decided to get back into playing the acoustic. Without doing my homework, I purchased some pricey acoustics & electric acoustics, all were disappointments until I discovered a Seagull Maritime Guitar. The sound is very warm, almost seductive and it gets better all the time. This is a light, well made, well thought out instrument, with it, my confidence and ability improves daily! Never heard of Seagull before?? So don't you make the same mistake, START and END your search with a Seagull guitar. You won't be sorry, it's at LEAST the equal of the Taylor or any other one(s)..

GREAT guitar

Bought it used as my second guitar to replace an good-for-starting-off Yamaha. In hindsight, I can't imagine getting anything else. I'm ashamed to have put a couple dings in it, but it's sounded good through it all. It took me a bit to really get used to the wide neck, but I love it more than a traditional style now. Attractive design and great sound (especially for the price), I would rate a seagull up with practically any guitar of similar price.

Just picked up used at local guitar store. I've owned a taylor and couple other acoustics before. This guitar sounds unbelivable. You simply cant beat the price For such outstanding crafstmanship. The action on mine is a little high for my taste, however i prefer pretty low action. even so the action is no problem at all.very comftorable and a joy to play. Highly recommended.

Light, Powerful, Canadian

First time I picked it up, I couldn't believe how light it was. Mahogony back and sides are astonishing and the spruce solid-top is gorgeous. The sound is unreal all over the fingerboard. Clear and loud. It is the most comfortable guitar, great for playing all day. Unique look thanks to headstock. Look at the seagull site and check out their construction methods. Canadian made so the quality to price ratio is outstanding. If you can't afford the M-series, definitely go with the S-series. My buddies got one its great. Would be tough to consider any other brand for the cost.
