The Yamaha PSR-S900 is an arranger workstation that has MegaVoice and Super Articulation technology that deliver sonically realistic sounds. The PSR-S900 gives you over 800 voices and drum kits. 61 full-size keys with touch response gives this Yamaha keyboard great feel while the large, color backlit LCD screen makes it easy to navigate. The arranger's USB port provides a computer audio interface and external storage capabilities. You also get a LAN port for Internet connection, microphone input, three-part vocal harmony function, video out for live performance or karaoke, as well as pitch bend and modulation wheels for more expressive playing. Excellent at: versatility, ergonomics/layout, allowing quick-on-the-go changes/shifting. Good quality built-in speaker sound. Downsides: Violins and violas could sound more real, the calypso (style) instrumentation and beat does not reflect the real/true spirit or essence of the Caribbean calypso version, built-in speaker power output is limited. All told, the unit pretty well serves my needs; I am satisfied with it and would purchase another unit, should circumstances dictate.

I own this keyboard for almost 1 year, it's one of the best keyboards I ever owned. First, I had PSR-2000, PSR-2100, which both were very nice. S900 is a step up & I love it.

We use them on stage and in the studio. It replaced the Ropland G-70 for stage because of the size and weight. I ordered an additional unit for a back up. Great features,USB stores hundreds of arrangements. Easy hook up to PC software via USB and driver. Only down side is the fact that the boards will not fit on a slanted double stand. It has a tapered edge and requires a flat stand. Rear external connections are blocked when using a center post double stand. Otherwise a lot of bang for the buck. Great voices and drum kits.

The best arranger at this pricepoint. The voices are awesome, The Sa sounds are very realistic. The features are neverending. The styles are so polished and over the top awesome. The usb quick record is one of it's neatest features. The Music Finder Database has over 1400 popular songs that the names have be altered for copyright reasons. they can easily be decrypted with a simple download. The weight is super lightweight. I use the KB as a backup to the TYROS 2. It may lack some great tyros 2 features but it's still a contender. I only have 2 minor complaints. The Keybed feels very cheap compared to other arrangers and customer support is lacking. However there is a great forum called synth zone (genral arranger forum). Those guys are the best.
