MXL 7000 Condenser Microphone

MXL has been making fine studio microphones for more than ten years, and have established an enviable reputation for producing great-sounding microphones at prices that are within the reach of even the most limited budget. Our studio series microphones are found side by side with the most sought-after mics in some of the world's most prestigious studios. Having introduced our first studio condenser microphone back in the year 2000, our product line has now grown to a varied catalog of microphones for nearly any application. Our microphones include both tube and solid state designs, so whether you are recording vocals, instruments, or pretty much anything else, there is an MXL microphone to meet your needs.

About MXL

MXL is part of the highly regarded company Marshall Electronics. Based in El Segundo, California, we are a stone's throw from bustling Los Angeles International Airport. For more than 30 years, Marshall Electronics has been at the leading edge of development and manufacturing for the broadcast industry, and has achieved an enviable reputation for our innovative and often groundbreaking products. Marshall Monitors are in television studios in almost every country. With separate divisions including Broadcast Multimedia, Optical Systems, Industrial Video & Security, and Pro Audio, our wide diversity ensures a robust infrastructure to consistently exceed our customer's expectations. In addition, we are also the Western Hemisphere distributors of Mogami™ cable, known universally as "The Cable of the Pros." We strongly believe that the quality of your peripheral equipment is of equal importance when setting up your studio. It is one of the reasons all MXL microphones are internally wired with Mogami wire.

Everyone on the team within the MXL Pro Audio division is a musician, engineer, or both. So not only do we know our products, but we also use them. In addition, if you ever feel the need to call us, there is a good chance that you will be speaking to someone who was involved in the development of the microphone from Day One. We are passionate about audio, and we feel our products reflect that.

MXL 7000

As soon as you look at the MXL 7000, the inspiration of the design is apparent. The retro-shaped design with its blue body and brushed-nickel grille makes the microphone instantly recognizable as having its own vibe. Don't let the retro look fool you though; beneath that old-school skin resides thoroughly modern technology.

The MXL 7000 boasts an ultralow-noise circuit for state-of-the-art signal-to-noise ratio. The finely tuned cardioid-pattern capsule with a 3-micron diaphragm makes it a vocalist's dream. Its unique feature is its ability to deliver truly believable delicate articulation in the high frequencies, yet remain flat and controlled in the low-frequency areas. The MXL 7000 delivers stellar vocal recordings.  Serious vocalists will love the performance of this mic as it will capture the true essence of their performance every time.

The MXL 7000 is especially versatile. The wide dynamic range means clean, clear performances during loud passages without clipping. Teamed up with the outstanding signal-to-noise ratio, the soft passages will be clear and quiet.

As with all of our premium products, the MXL 7000 is supplied in a fine wooden case with owner's manual and microfiber cleaning cloth to assist in keeping the microphone looking as good as the day you purchased it.
