Improved soapbar tone with noise-free performance.
The Joe Barden JBE Soapbar Pickup not only offers authentic soapbar tone but also the presence, musicality and noise-free performance that are characteristic of all JBE pickups.
Like any good soapbar pickup, the tone of JBE's Soapbars fall in the sonic landscape between the fullness of a humbucker and the chimey tones of single coils, but with something more.
In the bridge position the pickup is appropriately "nasty." With the "attitude" players expect from a soapbar pickup, it'll take your guitar solos to greater heights. While at the neck it's warm and musical with presence and tone that make the Joe Barden Soapbar uniquely "JBE-esque." Here the sound is wonderfully warm, clear and present, never dull or lifeless.
Equally impressive is that the noise and hum of traditional soapbars are totally eliminated in the JBE design, making the JBE Soapbar Pickup perfect for recording and live performance.
JBE Soapbars are designed to fit body routes of any guitar that conforms to the Gibson soapbar/P90 specification.

Comments about JBE Pickups (Barden) JBE Soapbar Pickup Bridge:
Can't belive how cool this pick-up is. Just makes me want to test all boundries of the realm of shred.
Don't buy this pup, and I'll be the one who shredders around the world will envy for this rig.
Used this to replace stock P-90 in my Epi 50th. Annv. 61' SG. Stock pup very noisy at higher volume. This bad boy tammed the noise to next to nothing, and brought a tone that is so unique. Highs scream, and mids melodic, amd classic, Note: I placed this pup in bridge position. As I had planned to use a DiMarzio DP-169 in neck position. But I now am concidering replacing stock neck pup with another one of these amazing pups.
Well designed, and wiring schematic was dead on. Made wiring a breeze.
Expensive? Yes. But you get what you pay for.
