Image-Line has once again improved upon greatness, incorporating over 14 years of experience into the release of FL Studio 11. This update has everything you need to compose, arrange, record, edit, mix and master professional quality music. With new features including multi-touch support, all-new Performance Mode, up to 199 playlist tracks, and not only updated but also new plug-ins, FL Studio 11 is truly the fastest way from your brain to your speakers.

What you can do with Signature Bundle:

Enhanced productivity. The addition of Maximus will make your final mix down process easier and have you putting out professional sounding masters in less time. The Fruity Video player will allow you to compose and synchronise your musical scores or foley to video. Directwave Sampler will allow you sample VST instruments and create your own multi-layer sample banks from any recordable instrument. Sytrus will round out your synthesis capabilities with a huge preset library and awesome range of sounds. Guitar players will appreciate Hardcore Guitar Effects Suite, but it’s also a bunch of generally useful effects pedals for any instrument, experiment!

New features in FL Studio 11:

Performance mode – Trigger Playlist Clips live using a mouse, touch screen, typing keyboard or MIDI controller. Supports APC20/40, Launchpad, Lemur, Block, Maschine/Mikro, padKONTROL, Traktor Kontrol (and more).

Multi-touch support - FL Studio and some plugins now respond to Multi-touch with Microsoft gesture functions supported.

Playlist - 199 Playlist tracks, increased from 99.

Linking includes MIDI input port - Links now remember the MIDI input port used to avoid conflict between controllers.

Playlist & Piano roll – Horizontal & vertical movement locking. Shift is horizontal lock & Ctrl is vertical lock when dragging items.

Piano roll - Glue notes, Mouse wheel velocity, Monophonic step entry mode & Chop chords tool.

Right-click data entry - Most controls now allow a Right-click option to type in values.

Plugin Picker - Right-click to open a plugin and its presets in the Browser. Start typing plugin names to highlight entries.

Mixer - Page Up/Down keyboard keys cycle through the current mixer track's plugin windows.

Options - Play truncated notes in clips restores notes overlapping slice points in Pattern Clips. Click and hold functions. GUI animation level now selectable from sober to entertaining.

New Plug-ins:

BassDrum – Deep Kick-Bass percussion synthesizer with sample layering. BassDrum was developed due to strong and loud customer demand for punchy kicks with a big bottom end. The solution was to take a hybrid synthesis/sample route to provide unlimited customization for the perfect kick sound.

GMS (Groove Machine Synth) - Multi-timbral hybrid synthesizer & FX channel lifted from Groove Machine. Another plugin by popular demand.

Effector - 12 performance oriented effects: Distortion, Lo-Fi bit reduction, Flanging, Phasing, Filter (low/high pass), Delay, Reverb, Stereo panning & binaural effect, Gating, Granulizer, Vocal formant and Ring modulation effects. Effector was introduced to compliment Performance Mode and is perfect for use with multi-touch displays & controllers.

Patcher – Introduced with FL Studio 10 to provide a means of saving and recalling commonly used effects and plugin chains. It’s in the new section as, aside from being overhauled with animated connections and a fresh interface, patcher has gained two, of many more to come, Voice Effects (VFX).

VFX Key Mapper – Allows note inputs, live or from the Piano roll, to be transposed, keychanged, chorded or creatively remapped.

VFX Color Mapper – Leverages FL Studio’s 16 Piano roll note colors that have traditionally mapped to MIDI channels. Now inside Patcher note colors can control 16 independent generators/instruments or groups of generators.

Updated Plug-ins:

FL Flowstone - Flowstone is the successor to the original Synthmaker program. Now including the Ruby high level programming language. Not only can you still create Synths & Effects, but you can also control external hardware with support for USB devices, I/O cards, Wi-Fi, webcams and audio hardware.

Newtone 2 – Has been completely re-written with a new analysis and pitch engine for more accuracy, while also brushing up the workflow. Shortcuts & mouse actions now harmonize with FL Studio’s Piano roll and Playlist, where possible. Most exciting are the new Vibrato and Warp editors. The Vibrato editor allows users to create vibrato effects from scratch with controls including start/end amount and frequency. The editor even detects existing vibrato and displays this value so users can match the singers natural tendency, if desired. The Warp editor is designed to work with mono or polyphonic material and is perfect for slicing and re-timing/quantizing drum-loops, vocal performances and is great for sounddesign experimentation. Importantly, Newtone 2 is a free update for existing customers.

Harmor – Rising star of the Electro and Dubstep scene, voted in the top 10 plugins of 2013 by MusicRadar readers, now supports Komplexer WT wavetables & 'Map audio regions to keys' for sampler like functionality and auto-dump to score for Slicex like drum handling. The preset count continues to rise too as patches keep flooding in from the thriving user base.

ZGameEditor Visualizer – Based on the free open source ZGameEditor that can be used to create 2D & 3D video game style visualization objects for the plugin. ZGE Visualizer can create real-time or rendered HD video effects in automated or automatic sync with FL Studio projects to support live performances or YouTube videos. Under FL Studio 11 the plugin receives a slew of new shadier modules for stunning HD video effects.

DirectWave - Added multi-timbral mode to the FL native version so you can load and play more than one patch from note colors in the Piano roll. There’s also a new live 16 point sincinterpolation mode for lower CPU usage when using DirectWave in multi-timbral mode.

I would like Image Line to begin to start developing FruityLoops for the Mac Platform. I'm not sure why they can't develop it for Mac. I hope you and any one in your team or team of reviewers can really figure out why FL is not Mac compatible? Thank You :)

Comments about Image Line FL Studio 11 Signature Bundle:

FL Studio's slogan "The fastest way from your mind to your speakers" is definitely an understatement. FL Studio is incredible, it has a great mixer track with up to 8 effect slots, but routing can add more. It's easy on the CPU. The native plugins are great, you can create outstanding tracks with just the minimum.
You can create just about any genre of music, from orchestral, to hip hop, trance, electro house, and back again. You really pay less than what you get.

The step sequencer is great for drum samples, the piano roll is the number one feature that sets it out from the rest of DAW's, and the playlist may get you a bit confused, but if you're used to the whole "Track 1 = Pattern 1" there's a project template JUST for that. The mixer is easy to access and route. You can create one sidechain bus and route everything to it, and because of FL's flexible routing, the leads won't get squashed if you know what you're doing.

Starting out, you will be confused, but it's not a steep learning curve, it's really easy once you get the hang of the basics. If you're a beginner, look up Seamless on Youtube, he has GREAT tutorials. They're not the classic "How To Make Dubstep" tutorials, he goes through what each feature does, so you won't be confused.

Multitrack recording is available, with one mic per mixer insert track, so mixing is easy, and it records in the playlist, and the mixer's can have different outputs for on-stage monitors.
You can use this for live performances whether you're a small band, working for a church, a DJ or hobbyist. You don't necessarily need Performance Mode enabled for live performances, which is excellent.

This DAW is complete with decent stock samples, lifetime free updates, rendering in MP3, WAV, OGG or MIDI, large MIDI controller support, and even a CPU monitor.
You really get more than what you're paying for, and can get the most out of it if you know what you're doing.

Comments about Image Line FL Studio 11 Signature Bundle:

I'm running FL Studio 11 on a 3.2 ghz Dell with 16gb ram, i7 processor, with windows 7 64-bit. I've NEVER had a problem with FL studio crashing. If there are any slowdowns in performance it will tell you and simply adjust asio buffer size to accommodate. The MIDI support is the BEST out there on the market. Everything is pre-programmed for you and I've tried to make studio fail and it simply won't. FL comes with a slew of plug-ins that rival any company out there. I use a 12 channel roland studio capture, a Mackie MCU, an axiom 49 keyboard, a TC-electronics Voicelive 2, and a roland TK electronic drumset at the same time!!! NO PROBLEM. Set everything up and power it on. Make sure the drivers are updated. Adjust ASIO buffer length to a good happy medium for smooth monitoring. Then I record MIDI data from the drums, room mics, percussion, vocals, bass. All at once and listen through it all through headphones. Very few hoops to jump through for tracking. It's not as good at tracking as pro tools is. HOWEVER, the upside is that MIDI works way better with FL than any other program I have used. Routing and mixing are super simple and it costs a fraction comparatively for all that you get with this program. Creating drums couldn't be easier. That's where FL shines. There are NO programs that do it better. Throw in a keyboard and making awesome hip hop or techno is easy, intuitive and fun. It's the quickest way to get your music produced. There are so many different ways to squeeze out an idea it's incredible. The synth programs such as sytrus are absolutely amazing and I would recommend anyone who plays an instrument to pop a few hundred to get one of the best programs for the value that money can buy. For a fraction of the price of a decent keyboard or new guitar you can play and record anything you can think of. This program gives Pro Tools a run for its money.

There are very few downsides but I will mention them so I don't seem like I'm totally biased. The learning curve can be a bit steep especially if you've never used a digital audio workstation before. The interface doesn't seem as powerful as it is when you first get started. You're left wondering what you paid for. Get into the nuts and bolts and you'll see that everything you need isn't very far away. Hardcore is awesome for guitar players... I use a rocksmith cable to run guitar and the Quality of audio is actually fantastic. Guitar presets are versatile, simple, and intuitive. Sytrus with a MIDI keyboard has a ton of amazing presets but tweaking individual sounds to taste can get technical. Fruity FPC is an amazing drum program and using an electronic drumset is only a usb port away. Layering samples into the piano roll is my preferred method though. It takes longer, but I can pick between samples on the piano roll and record from the keyboard, then tweak from there to get a more humanized sound. The fruity convolver is a great reverb program but it lacks over expensive rack mount gear or plugins such as Altiverb. My favorite plugin by far is Maximus. It's a mastering compressor/limiter/gate plugin with separate bass mid and treble response curves. However... COMPRESSION CAN DESTROY YOUR AUDIO FIDELITY. So don't fix it if it isn't broken. The best compressors in the world use extremely subtle settings to balance audio, not squash it. It might be a little too powerful but if you're trying to win the loudness wars... this plugin might do it for you.

Overall there are very few negatives versus a million positives. Honestly, pro tools is the best out there for tracking and editing, but on its own it lacks in every other category to FL Studio, especially the signature bundle which comes with a wonderful variety of plugins. Lifetime updates... THANK YOU IMAGE-LINE. <3
Don't think that this program isn't a good choice for rock and roll either. Its synths can help create real drama in dynamic pieces. Hardcore is a top notch guitar FX suite rivaling what line 6 has done in recent years digitally. Maximus is the best mastering plugin I have used (and I'm a college student working with pro tools as well). Tracking is intuitive and relatively easy. Most of all this program is fun to use. I hope you can find the joy in creating music with FL Studio Signature Bundle as much as I have. Do your research and I think you'll agree.
