I own several guitars, including a Nazareth Sigma Martin, an old Yamaha, and a 1977 Suzuki Three S--All great guitars (and none of them inexpensive). I bought the Takamine G240 for a kick-around and liked the sound so well that I refuse to take it out of the house. It honestly sounds every bit as good as my Sigma Martin. My advice, Pick one up and you won't be sorry--It's really that good. And for the price (insanely inexpensive) it just can't be beat.

Just gotta say that if your thinking about buying this guitar because it's cheap by all means but this guiter!! Right out of the box it sounds awesome. I have a more expensive Takamine I use when playing gigs but for around the campfire or any other time you want a decent playing sounding guitar this will not disappoint you.

I have owned the red stain version of the 240 for the last 3 years. It's had a problem or two, but has been a solid performer. Keeps tune for long periods of time, and has a nice low sound. The nut could use some work, but the guitar still plays as good today, as the day I bought it.

I was in the market for a new guitar after having sold all of my other guitars for the $$$ about a year ago, so needless to say I was looking for a new one at a reasonably cheap price. I saw this one online and thought I would give it a try. When it arrived I couldn't have been more satisfied. It sounds soooo much better than my previous acoustic. The tone is very bright and full. I am not a big fan of natural finish guitars, because they are so common, but I just loved this thing from the second I opened the box. This guitar is worth a lot more than what you will pay for it. Overall I think it is a great buy.

I been playing Electric Guitar most of my life on and off and now for the last 5 months I have been taking lessons and really got myself motivated again. I purchased a Les Paul and really jamming through a Marshall Stack and having a blast. Anyway....LOL. This Takamine was the only Acoustic Guitar out of hundreds I tried that was so so so playable. Great action, Beautiful tone and I use it now all the time. I reccomend this Guitar to anyone at any level. You can use it for a Gig or just drag it to the park without the fears you have with more expensive Guitars. With the exception of slight occasional fret buzz, I Love this Guitar!
