About Gold Tone:

When Wayne and Robyn Rogers began Gold Tone in 1993, they knew exactly how the perfect banjo should look, feel, and sound. After all, they themselves were active folk musicians during the '70s and '80s, and their experience and passion for the genre is quite obvious in every instrument they design. In fact, it didn't take long for their original TB-100 Travel Banjo to become a smash hit with players around the world, and its success soon had Gold Tone expanding into many other traditional instruments as well.

Combining new innovations with proven vintage designs, Gold Tone catalog includes everything from acoustic-electric basses and resonator guitars to interesting hybrids like the banjolele. As always, if you're not sure where to start your search, beginning with the more popular items is always a safe bet, and the Cripple Creek Irish Tenor Banjo with Resonator is one of Gold Tone's best sellers. Featuring decorative fingerboard inlays and maple construction, guitar-style tuners, and a snowflake fingerboard inlay, the CC-IT is very easy to play, and delivers a strong, consistent tone.

As mentioned, Gold Tone also specializes in hybrid folk instruments, and the CC Banjitar is as unique as its name suggests. Boasting rock-solid tuning and crystal-clear projection, the Banjitar is an exceptional choice for guitarists who want to transition to the banjo with something they feel familiar with. For that matter, the same can be said for the Banjolele Deluxe. By incorporating an archtop design for Formby-style strumming, Goldtone has created a remarkable instrument that would be excellent for any musician who wants to add a little variety to their set.

Great sound and smooth playability is something that can always be expected from Gold Tone. In fact, more musicians are discovering Gold Tone instruments every day, and their impressive roster currently includes Alan Jackson, Ben Harper, Mumford & Sons, and countless others. With that in mind, Gold Tone is also known for making instruments affordable to everyone, so we can all enjoy the same musical experience as our favorite artists.
